Swype Problem

Okay, I have had the Swype "Trial" for a while now, but have not used it. I decided to start using it just to give it another go. (After watching that guy crush the World Record for Texting using Swype ... lol). I long pressed for input method, selected swype, and attempted to use. I got a "Your trial has ended please upgrade your version of swype." I have looked everywhere and am not able to find a different version of the one that I have. I have tried another download of it and get the same result. Is there another version of it out there that I am not seeing or am I just stuck until they reopen beta or just release the app?

There is another version. I found it googling on droidforums.net. search for swype apk

Good luck, it is certainly pimp and better than shape writer or whatever is in the market.

Thanks...I will continue to look. I have tried shapewriter and was not really impressed at all. Even though I did not like swype too much, just because I guess I did not want to invest the time to get used to it at the time, I could tell that swype was way better than SW.

I love swype whether old or the new version for the droid, however I and my daughter gets on occasion when you try using it you get a beep upon release and a box around the keyboard and it tells you that it is not configured for you phone you are using it for. You then have to long press on a text box till the input method comes up. You then have to select the stock one go out long press again and then pick swype again and all is good until you restart or get a couple of force closes I did not have this issue with the hacked version what gives with this issue. Not life or death but just an annoyance

I hope nobody minds me resurrecting this from the dead but I figured I would post here instead of making a new thread.

I installed the newest beta the other day and it seems after some app installs or updates the swype keyboard goes away and the stock keyboard comes up. I keep having to switch back to swype manually and it's getting really annoying. Is anyone else having this problem?

I am on day 2 with Swype and no issues and hope it stays that way. (have installed other apps and updated others since then as well).
