Help My "i" is always capitalized on words I have to spell

Does anyone know why this is? I could be typing "hello that buIldIng is awesome"

It only happens when I have to spell the word I want and not the word in blue it thinks I am spelling.

witch looks like wltch ... things like that ... it drives me crazy!!!! :mad:

When you are typing the word and it gives you the capital I, it should let you delete it and then press the shift key a couple of times to cycle between upper case, shift lock, and lower case, then enter the lower case I.

You could also do a Factory Data Reset under Settings, Back up and reset. That should return your device to "out of the box" condition. Unfortunately, you would need to setup your phone all over again.

Several users in several places have reported this keyboard bug. Some thought it started in the latest OTA update for Sprint GS3, v L710VPLG8.

Are you on Sprint, and are you running that update?

yes and yes ... started happening after that update.

Same problem for me after the Sprint update. Doesn't matter which keyboard I use - google or samsung. Couldn't even log into the Forums from my phone because of the problem. Had to find a computer. Hopefully they (whoever "they" are.) will correct the problem with another update.

I can confirm that its not only sprint, it happened to me on att unlocked quad band. I was typing on this site. But after a few attempts to edit it, it stopped and I've never seen it again. Knock on wood.. yes, this was very annoying.
