Help Have not received 2.3.6 update yet..

Hi all, glad to be a (new) part of the forum :)

It's past the 23rd and I still haven't received the 2.3.6 update yet. Should I be worried? It's impossible to reach a human at Boost and the screen issue with this version is really annoying.

Thanks!

Same here. I really wish it would just get here already cuz I don't want to deal with the hassle of rooting my phone and I'm not too confident I could do it correctly anyway. -____-

I haven't received the update as of today and Boost support wasn't much help, just telling me to keep waiting. I also have a Tmobile Samsung Exhibit II and was able to update the software on that phone with Samsung Kies on my PC. I tried to do the same with the Transform Ultra but the software doesn't seem to recognize the phone. I installed the USB drivers and they recognized the phone, but Kies won't connect.

Does anyone know if the Kies software works with this phone? I figured since it was from Samsung it should work for all of their Android phones, but maybe that is not the case?

I didn't receive the update yet either, I didn't even know there was an update until I saw about it on this forum. People have been getting updates as far back as May? Now I feel left out, lol.

I want this update because dragging icons is still a pain and it makes games like Draw Something a pain in the ass to play. Still playable but not as great as on other phones.

I've had this phone since the day it came out. I never rooted it or anything and still no update. I'm not going to bother calling Boost because their customer service reps are inept. I did post something on Twitter asking about it. Wonder when/if I'll get a response.

Since I had posted on this thread before saying I had not received the 2.3.6 update yet, I am back to update that I have. I'm updating that I've gotten the update. Haha.

It has fixed the touchscreen sensitivity issue. No longer do I have to fight to drag icons around to delete them, and I can play Draw Something without making dots instead of lines, and the game Solipskier is playable once again.

The only things I notice that are different is the unlock screen no longer has the little green icon that slides to the right, with the little sound mute/unmute icon to slide to the left. Now you just swipe somewhere on the screen and it's back on. And the unlock screen clock/date area might be a little different.

Also, when a call comes in, the slide buttons and animation areas between them look different for taking or rejecting the call. There is now also some new Boost application installed that I don't really care about, and some live wallpapers are gone while new ones were added. Wifi works fine, and I'm glad I didn't get the first round of the updates that were sent now due to the issues it gave everyone. Glad they fixed them and hopefully everyone who got the update previously will get it again and get fixed up.

Was there anything else updated that I missed? I wish they would give the option to mute the shutter sound when taking a pic. It makes the noise even when all of the sounds are turned all the way down, and that's annoying. I'm still satisfied with the update though.

I just updated to 2.3.6 and so far the screen sensitivity is great, just like it should have been out of the box! I wish they would have made this update a LONG time ago! I don't seem to have any issues with wifi connectivity. As for everything else, it is just like alekia stated. I have yet to run into any issues *fingers crossed* so far.
