1) Just plug the usb cable and use the 'portable device' option under 'my computer' in your pc to transfer files to your sd card?
2) Use USB utilities under settings in your phone to connect by 'mass storage' mode to transfer files to your sd card.
I used to use method no. 2 and noticed that sometimes after disconnecting with the usb cable, my media (music, videos) on my sd card is not detected in apps like stock music, gallery. Sometimes the newly added media shows up, but no the previous ones. It happens randomly, and its rather annoying since all the songs inside my playlists and individual ringtones for my contacts will be gone and I got to do over, but after connecting and disconnecting a 2nd time, it works again. I thought it was a media scanner issue. I spoke to a samsung tech guy and he said since S2 supports 'plug and play', as in option no. 1, there's no need to go through the no. 2. So why put 'usb utilities' if you can just plug and play?
Anyway, it seems like method no. 2 is probably a bug in the software from my experience, so I'm just gonna use method no. 1 from now on.
Anyhow, i'm just curious, which method do you use/prefer and do you experience e bug like I do?
