Will have 5.5" Inch Screen... but the the body will be narrower than the note1. Can you imagine the bezel of that? :D.

The design is said will be inspired by Galaxy S3.

Even more interestingly, the release date of the Note 2 has been moved forward to September, rather than the previously rumored October. The reason for the switch is Samsung's desire to bring the Note 2 to the market before Apple releases the iPhone 5 in October, thus stealing some users from the Cupertino-based company.

Galaxy Note 2!

Here's a quick mock-up how the Note 2 MIGHT look judging from this new information.

Probably won't bother getting it straight away as I love the square design of the note and I can't see much being different. Some 'Changes' to the camera that you'll never notice, slightly improvement on RAM and a slightly faster processor. The only thing I like about the S3 is the touchwiz but looked at a lot of comparisons and most reckon the Note is better than the S3 anyway.

If the Note 2 has a louder speaker I will have to get it, because the speaker on the Note 1 is no way loud enough for notifications, ringing and alarms.

Perhaps they could also ditch the metal bezel to get the weight down a bit because it is the weight of the note not its size that is a problem.

Oh and a camera that is better in low light would be cool too :)

AS STATED ABOVE....."" Will have 5.5" In. Screen... but the the body will be narrower than the note1. "".........Well personally, I use the phone "mostly" in the portrait mode. Sooo, if the new phone will be narrower, then it actually becomes a smaller phone (side to side), therefore negating the fact that diagonally it is bigger.

What's the normal timeline between a new phone announcement to them being available in the shops.

That can vary greatly, Samsung has been trying to do a better job though. I would expect it to be released within 1-2 months after the unveiling. Likely in October, just like the original Note.

Now for US variants that's a completely different question. T-Mobile is just barely getting the original Note, and AT&T got it last February. So I wouldn't expect it in the states for several months. Unless they pull a simultaneous release, which was done with the Galaxy S 3.
