Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

Does anyone Have a G1 / MyTouch 3g Phone with a Recovery you can Format to ext2 / and swap?

I have Automatic a2sd working Now & wanting to Release R5 with this Feature...

I have a mytouch 3G 1.2 with Amen RA recovery 1.6.2

I can partition up to ext 4

EDIT - I have to finish charging up the Behold but if you want me to try the new R5 release with A2SD, I'm game.

OK I had a weird error happen. I missed a call earlier and got a strange text message afterward. It was a bunch of junk in the text. I noticed I had no Voicemail so I downloaded the Visual voicemail app and had voicemail. I tested to see if I still got the garbage text. I got voicemail to pop up in the notifications but still get a garbage text.

I THINK it's a visual Voicemail Sync Message that isn't playing nice. Hope that helps.

eric how much did you partition for ext 2 and what class sd are you running. I plan on doing a class 4.

Edit - Ok i just noticed you said the rest for ext2.

I went ahead and did 1.6 Gb linux swap, 512 mb ext2 for A2SD and the rest for Fat 32

Forgot to mention I made a 64 meg swap as well.

Does this firmware support ext4? I just went with ext2 to be safe.

For those of you who lack access to a Linux machine:

GParted LiveCD

This boots into a basic Linux OS where you can run GParted to modify your SD card. Remember to backup EVERYTHING on your SD card before doing any partition work!

After the O/S boots, mount your SD card on your phone so that GParted can view it to modify. It shows up as a SCSI device.

Eric, Great idea! Live CD's! Now here's a man who is thinking out side of the box.

Live CD's are a great way of using linux on your on computer without modifying or risking anything. Everyone can use linux (and maybe stay with it :D) and achieve this task quick and safe with a full graphical interface.

With Handcent re-removed, is there a good way to prevent double text notifications? I have handcent installed, but I dont want to run a auto task killer to stop the stock notification.... I'm still a bit new to the android game, any help is appreciated. I take it handcent was removed to fix the mms issue :-( It is such a good texting program.
