I went back to HC after flashing the UK version.
So far the differences I see are.....
In the UK version, no Words For Free (ok by me, never used it).
Polaris Office in UK vesion, Quick Office in the US version (again, ok by me).
May be some others I don't remember.
Only way to d/l manually I know of is with Kies.

I flashed the US right over the top of the UK version. Same build. I still have Polaris Office (maybe because I never cleared and deleted) but it also installed QuickOffice and Words with Friends.

Figured I would have a new build number though, especially since some time passed between the releases.

I'm on the West Coast of the US with the WIFI only tab. (P7510). I kept checking the OTA updates, but it kept telling me that no updates were available. So, not wanting to wait, I downloaded and installed Kies. I had no trouble connecting. It told me there was an update right away. It took about 1/2 hour to complete the download and installation. Just finished. Now I have to redo my home screens.

Still no ICS in Canada
It'll take a little longer for Canadian carrier models with 3G as Bell, Telus, and Rogers all have additional apps and settings added to the stock Samsung ICS. I didn't like any of the bloatware from Rogers, so I installed the UK version which works great and no junk.

If you have the WiFi model, then updates could be ready any time, or you can manually update as the US version is rolling out now. Hopefully there will be a stock US version available for 3G models soon.

I have the wifi version. I have tried kies and going through about device and selecting check for updates but nothing yet.

Hey all. It's 10:30pm EST here in CT, I still have not received ICS OTA, what gives?! I have spent the past 2 very frustrating hours trying to get Kies to recognize my Tab with absolutely zero progress.

I realize they are staggering the OTA push to avoid crashing the servers, but now with an hour and a half to go of the release date, I can't understand why it still isn't available here.

Id like to know if it's possible to miss out on the update because you're running a different launcher. Probably not add people with rooted tabs say there haven't been any problems. I'm fairly new to this, so just wondering how long I should wait before giving in and resetting to factory so freakin kies will work. Not a rhetorical question, I want answers!!!! ;-)

If you are not rooted and just running a different launcher, you'll still get the update and most likely the Moto Blur launcher will be set as the default again afterwards. You'll just need to open your launcher of choice and set it as default again.

The launcher you are using shouldn't matter at all.
