Now on my 4th replacement refurb rez...(so my 5th one total.) on the phone with them Verizon, and they are sending me a Nexus instead. not sure how i feel about it...but the latest rezound that was received TODAY will not get online, wifi wont work, phones heating up really badly... im so tired of these shitty refurb phones.

lets hope that this next phone ACTUALLY works.

I'm on my 2nd Rezound. The first one started falling apart after two weeks (not surprisingly, the amount of time you have to return the phone for something else).
After the first, i scanned all kinds of web message boards including Verizons own, which had a lot of complaints about this phone, MANY of them were customers who were on their 3rd, 4th or 5th phone already..

When I called at day 29 and demanded i be allowed to change to a completely different manufacturer for the phone they gave me some pretty generic crappy lines about how they would be fired for that because they would be breaking the contract (that they hold) and that they'd send me a new (was a refurb) phone.

The 2nd one is working a lot better, but it has random bugs that, well, bug me. You should have gone for the Samsung. I really like the rezound (*mainly for the processing power and screen resolution, Ice Cream Sandwich and Beats Audio, but this might be my last HTC (This was also my first HTC.) I am just flat out not happy with they way the first phone went, and then the customer service.

I got this Rezound about 2 months after my last 2 year contract expired and upped to keep my unlimited data plan. BUT, I was a hair away from paying the cancellation fee and going with another phone company after all the crap I've been through with these phones. I may still. We will see how long this refurb holds up.

actually, I contacted HTC directly, via their elevate.HTC.com forum about the issue and they sent me a brand new, in the box, droid incredible 4g lte, along with an extended battery..for FREE
I'm a very brand loyal person, and based on how HTC handled my situation, I'll be sticking with them from now on.

what part of the forum did you use? all i see is places where they say to go to regular htc.com/support

I went through 7 rezounds before Verizon finally gave me the Galaxy s3. Not a big fan of Samsung but it was either that or the incredible 4g (too small).

I've been through four Rezounds (for heat and Mobile HotSpot issues) and now on a Galaxy Nexus. The 4G reception is so poor I spend about 10-15% time without a signal! They are sending me an Incredible 4G LTE but I don't think I'll like the small screen after using a Rezound or Nexus. I was wondering if I might convince them to put me in a Galaxy S3, so thanks for confirming it can be done! Verizon customer service has been awesome so far. There's no way AT&T or Sprint would have been this helpful.

To the OP, how are you liking the Incredible LTE?

I just told them rezound was $300 when I bought it. Removable battery and sd card. The only thing that could replace it spec wise is the s3. I had to buy a battery and a back, but they have me a discount and I paid $35 for both. BTW they offered me the LG Lucid I made sure to let them know I was offended by that offer.

That's good to know! I'll use this IncLTE for a few days and then call and give that a try.

I'm still on my first ReZound. It has been working great for the last six months.
If I do ever need to replace it I could not go smaller. Ideally I would want something with a 4.8 inch screen like the new Galaxy Nexus. A coworker has one from sprint and even with the larger screen its not a whole lot larger than my Rezound. You can still easily put it in your pocket.

The Rezound is a really great phone. While I like the Form Factor in the Galaxy Nexus, the Rezound beats it in nearly every other category. If they don't put me in a SGS3, I am going to ask them to put me back in the Rezound. I'll far more easily deal with a slightly less ergonomic feel in my hands and pocket than the crappy radio in the GNex or the small screen in the IncLTE.

So I tried that argument and they wouldn't buy it =(
On top of that, they said this is the last time I am allowed to try another phone. Would have been nice to know that before I agreed to let them send me this little IncLTE! Ugh. So now I need to decide whether to switch back to Rezound, try another GNex to see if I get lucky, or try the Razr Maxx.

They will tell you something different every time it took me a few calls to get it.
First call they offered me the LG Lucid then the razr or nexus, I told them I need to see them in person and I would get back with them (they noted that in my account). Went in the store and they offered me the Thunderbolt, SERIOUSLY. Called again and they said I could only get the rezound, so I asked to speak to loyalty dept. After stating my case to loyalty we agreed on the s3. I think they thought they got me by making me by the battery and the back and sending me a refurb.

i LOVE this new Inc 4g LTE. with the extended battery, I am AVERAGING 3+ days on a single charge. screen size doesnt bother me too much
