Anyone suggest a keyboard app for these needs?

I have the trial of Swiftkey, but I am not sure it fits all of my "pie in the sky" needs. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions:

1) The reason why I didn't like the stock keyboard was because it didn't have a comma accessible with one-touch. SwiftKey solved that.

2) The following feature was on my Droid Incredible. If I was typing a word and the phone guessed incorrectly, all I had to do was hit the backspace button one time and the word disappeared and the "suggestions" were still visible. With Swiftkey, if it guesses wrong, I have to backspace over the entire word and start again.

3) Also with the Droid Incredible, if I was typing a really strange word that was perhaps some slang that the dictionary didn't know, the keyboard app wouldn't even try to guess/change it -- rather, it would just post it as I typed it. I actually liked that feature. With Swiftkey, it will take a stab at it, and often what it comes up with is way off. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if I could just backspace once and delete it (see #2 above), but when I have to backspace over every letter and start again, it is annoying.

Any suggestions?

Swiftkey shows 3 possibilities at the top. Usually the actual word you're typing is one of them I think, but it might be off to the left or right. You might need to tap that word rather than "space" which will always fill in the "middle" choice.

Well, I tried the thumb one, as well as swype. Every keyboard has a thing or two that are awesome, but it looks like I will stick with Swiftkey.

Benefit of Swiftkey:
1) I like the comma is always there.
2) I like that the question mark is always there.
3) I find that the letters are in a better location for me.

Benefit of Thumb Keyboard and Swype
1) Some cool options
2) I like the way they both do suggestions/corrections

The thing about SwiftKey that really drives me nuts is something that I think is not an issue with the other two. When you use Swiftkey and the system suggests the wrong word, you have to backspace all the way through it and then start typing again. With the other two, as soon as you hit backspace, it realizes that there was a mistake and takes you back to what you previously had typed. That is WAY better.

So, for now, I am sticking with SwiftftKey.

1) it is on the left of spacebar in Swype
2) you hold m for a moment and the question mark pops up. There are advanced punctuation shortcuts I haven't tried out.
3) that's subjective.so no arguments here

Swype isn't perfect, but it is free.

Just a few screen shots. You will be very pleased. . Also have the ability to make it look like ics,Ginger bread, jelly bean, or multiple versions of ultra. . Even has the option to have your camera as the background as seen in the screen shot

Have you looked into Thumb Keyboard?

I've used it, and it worked pretty well for me.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.keyboardplus&feature=nav_result#?t=W10.

I gave it a try and I love it. I use the split keyboard in landscape as my thumbs aren't long enough to reach the centre of the screen comfortably. I also like the stacked portrait keyboard as the keys are wider. The one feature that I love the most over Swiftkey is the ability to turn off auto-spacing. For whatever reason, Swiftkey always puts spaces here and there like when I select a suggested word or enter punctuation. I find the auto-spacing annoying because I sometimes end up putting too many spaces at places and then have to go back and take it out when I realise later. I like to put my own spaces in my typing.

You can configure the Thumb Keyboard to make the comma always appear. I haven't found anything for the question mark, but I just use the long tap.

You can turn off auto-correct. Both keyboards will give you suggestions in the row above the keyboard. You can then tap the word you want. I always hated auto-correct because I do use three-letter acronyms (or any other number of letters) and other shorthand that auto-correct always screws up.
