Hyperion 4000mah battery and back just arrived!

is it a 1/2 inch thick total with the external battery and tpu case?

Yes.

BTW, the case is worth it, since was in my Quest van today and forgot I had the GS3 in my lap. Got out and I watched as gravity did it's thing. It hit a corner on black top and was laying on the front when settled. No apparent damage to the phone, but I think it would have been opposite without the case.

I received mine. Day 2 with moderate to heavy usage and I still have 33% left. Im very impressed.

Yes the buttons are tough to hit through the case but the case looks great and seems to protect the device well. Once you know the sweet spot to squeeze your fine.

The extended battery is the same size as 2 standard batteries. I also like the way the added weight and size feels in my hand. The phone almost seems easier to hold now.

Highly recommend.

I just installed the 4200mah battery, and the battery has been doing great so far. The only weird thing is that now I'm getting weird results when I look at my battery usage. Now "android system" is listed at the top of the list.

Is this good for this battery? qcell 4200ma

I think qcell and hyperion are the same, cause I ordered 2 cases, one from each company (thru amazon.com) and the same shipping address, and very nice people to deal with, amazon had no white battery cover and qcell sent me a free one, so I have the blue battery cover with the black case from hyperion, and the white battery cover for the white qcell case.

and this was this morning, I spent 2 hrs in a weak signal area and it took 30% off

I also notice it drops to 98% quickly after I unplug phone from the charger, this was my 3rd discharge cycle.

The end 1%-20% last looonnnnggggg, I'm starting to think my top end on this is not good tho? What do you all think? does it seem good to you all??

Well, i'm returning the qcell battery and case, I leave the battery on the charger with a 100% overnight (6+hrs) and as soon as I unplug the charger my phone drops to 98% battery immediately, and it takes not much time to discharge the battery but a long time to charge it, and after reading all the reviews on it, I now know it does not have a full 4200 ma battery inside, look up the review on amazon, he posted a video, but the hyperion the same guy said is a true 4200 battery inside, and last longer also (so it must be).

The qcell case started to pull the edge on my screen protector today and starting to turn yellow on the sides.

Wish I knew all this before I ordered the qcell.

Anyway I ordered a hyperion 4200ma battery, I just cant see spending $100 on that other brand that is suppose to be best, but who knows.

How are all you hyperion batterie owners, is it still holding good?

Did you all charge the hyperion battery a full 12 hours + when you received it?

I use Google Navigation a lot with my Qcell.

With the Nav screen dimming setting off it drops to about 92% for a 6 hour drive.

With the Nav screen dimming setting on it will stay at 100% all the time and if it starts at less than that it will rise to 100% and stay there.

That is great, I wish my qcell did that, then I would not be returning it, for a 6 hour drive with nav for my qcell it would be dead after the 6 hours for sure (if I even made it that long), I wrote to qcell 2 days ago and got no more response on this so back it goes.

hopefully you dont have one like mine and the one in the video on amazon, cause I pealed some of that back and my battery was not the entire package either, so I must have what the video said qcell are
this is the quote from it

this is qcell
"*update*
I googled the numbers on the battery "G494656ArJ" and found a Chinese web site... I clicked translate and found the exact specification for the cells used in the battery. Each cell is rated at 1630mAh, giving the battery a total capacity of 3260mAh.
*end update*"

and this is what he says about the hyperion

"I peeled back the label on the battery and I saw that the battery was identified as "495060AR" and if you google that, you will see the cells on Alibaba and each cell is rated at 2100mAh, for a total of 4200mAh. This battery is exactly as advertised."

So come on people how are your hyperion batteries holding out???

I pulled my Qcell and it has no numbers anywhere on it. Here is what it says -

QCELL
P O W E R
Assembled in China
Voltage 3.7v Li-Ion Battery

I bought it from Amazon.

Took on vacation and didn't have to worry once about it running out in a day. On plane ride watched movies, surfed, texted, calls. I had one 17 hour day going from Missoula Mt to Glacier National Park and back. Used the phone for Navigation, camera, video, in and out of signal, used the screen as a flashlight to read for almost 2 hours on the way back and was only down to 30%. The battery IMHO is a beast.

I'm not responsible for anyone voiding a warranty , so with that said, you need to carefully peal the qcell label off and read the numbers on the silver, I believe, I would watch that video review on the amazon web site under the qcell battery.
Best of luck

Edit
I also removed my qcell to send back and installed my stock battery, and so far I'm getting same battery results in the 3 hours as the qcell.

I believe the stock battery is 2200 mAh so I am not sure how it performs the same as one you believe to be 3260 mAh.

I will not be peeling anything on my battery but I note of 84 reviews on Amazon 69 are 5 star leading one to think you simply have a defective or as you seem to believe a substituted one. I think it would have been useful to alert Amazon of you suspicions.

Just purchased this battery. After a full 12 hr charge read (phone turned off) it said fully(1oo%) charged. I turned on the phone to see it actually said 98%. Anyone have this happen to them?
I took out the original battery at 42% stored on the desk while charging new battery and reinserted it to see it dropped to 20% while out of phone.
Any help or comments?

Probably should shoot them an email. Mine works like a champ. I had to try and kill my phones battery last time since I'm still in the discharge fully proccess and didn't want it to die the next day at work. I put my phone on the brightest settings, put a graphic entense game, and put timeout to 10 minutes. Took almost 3 hours to make it die from 17% while doing this.

Will say this, my first one wasn't worth a crap, lasted actually less than the OEM battery. I messaged them, and had a replacement in 3 days that lasts as described above. With normal use, I'm sure this battery would last 3 1/2 days with probably 9-10 hours of screen time.
