My HTC Desire has started showing the wrong time zone - Taipai, China - instead of the Atlantic Canada time zone when Date and Time is set to automatic. Date and time is then off too. If I choose manual I can set it to Atlantic time zone Canada. Sometimes when I set it back to automatic it will stay in the right time zone for awhile and sometimes it switches immediately back to China.
Called Telus and they said I had to do a full wipe and reinstall which I'm not inclined to do as I have a large number of apps on it and a lot of settings I would have to do over again. I have to wonder about their suggestion because my sister came for a visit from Chicago the other day and her phone - an HTC Incredible on Verizon - began doing the same thing when she got here. Could there be something wrong with the time signal on Telus's network? Or I'm wondering if one of the apps I have running might be doing it.
Anyone experiencing the same thing?
