In my secondary (high) school I was allowed to use a laptop because I'm dyslexic, but I found it was really annoying to carry around so I'm hoping that in college (senior high school) I can use the Nexus 7 with its hopefully incoming keyboard

Well of course you can :D

Remember, in college you are an adult, and treated as such. You can carry and use a laptop or tablet, or even both, and use them in the classroom. Just don't get caught n Facebook:p

Sorry you misunderstand me, I said college (senior high school).
College in the UK means education from 16 - 18, it's the final two years before university which is what you call college.
I couldn't say high school though because it doesn't sound right to me

In this day and age I could see schools adapting the use of tablets. After all this is a digital era so why not?
Also consider if students were using tablets they could use that same tablet for a number of years. The only thing that would change is the content on it.

My school bought half of the first year* iPod touches for some unfathomable reason. Not as though you can do productive work on them or connect them to a screen or anything.
Although I agree, proper tablets such as the N7 would be a good addition to schools I think, especially if it has a proper keyboard.

Kindle Textbooks, can buy or rent. Not sure how relevant this is to HS courses.
