I am new on here so forgive me if this has no doubt been covered. I am trying to download photos from my Galaxy s2 to my computer. However I am clueless as where to start. I need this explaining step by step in minute detail. I have tried numerous times and read forum posts but just don't know where to start and I don't understand what is being said. Can someone please help?

1. Get the USB cable from the phone's box.
2. Slide open the charger port on your phone, and use the cable to connect that to PC
3. Wait for drivers to install. Your PC should preferably be connected to Internet.
4. Once drivers are installed, open My Computer, and under "devices" you will see your phone if the phone is in Kies mode.
4.a. If the phone is in mass storage mode, it will prompt you to activate USB connection, just confirm it on your phone's screen. (Modes interchangeable on your phone's settings menu). And it will appear as 2 separate flash drives.
5. Treat the phone just like any other flash drive.

You really might want to get the Dropbox app for your phone. It allows you to back up all photos you take to the cloud. You can then install dropbox on your computer and retrieve any photo you want without even connecting your phone to the computer. And you have the added security of having photos backed up in case your phone falls into a lake or something.
