Help Problems with photo uploads to Facebook

Facebook uploads do not go well with the Incredible 4G. Although I have a good 4G connection photos stall, upload multiple copies, and the upload bar remains in the notification area even when uploads do reach 100%. Only rebooting the phone clears the notification area. Anyone else experience this?

From Gallery, I click Share and then choose Facebook. I'm running the latest mobile Facebook app.

I have the same problem. If I use Facebook for Sense, it seems to work okay (but I dislike that one).

I've noticed the same, the regular Facebook upload stalls or multi uploads where the Facebook for HTC Sense seems to work correctly every time.

The HTC Sense upload doesn't allow me to choose which friends can see it so it's not an option for me.

There's an update to the Facebook app. Fingers crossed, maybe it will fix -- haven't tested yet.

I am sad to report the update to the Facebook app last week completely breaks the ability to upload photos unless you use HTC Sense. When trying to upload using Facebook, the app will stop responding and lock up.

To those who have not yet updated -- you may want to wait.

I just uploaded a pic from the official FB app (latest version) on my Incredible 4G.

It works great, no issues. I would try to clear the FB app cache, or even uninstall the update and reinstall it.

Clearing the cache worked like a charm. I really appreciate the suggestion!

I celebrated too early. One smooth upload and now I'm back to the photo uploads through Facebook stall and do not complete. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I'll be fairly happy with this phone once this is solved.

Hopefully with the FB employees using Android now this means that we can get a quality FB app.

Just so you know, I always email my photos to my facebook (uploads at a better quality). You can add a text in the subject line of the email and that will be the caption on the photo. You just have to set-up your mobile settings and then look at the "Post-By-Email Address" for the email to send your photos to.

The Aug 23rd FB app update was crap. It caused force closes for me and dozens of other people, so my guess is it has to do with the app in general. There was another update on Aug 29th - have you updated and tried uploading a pic with that? FB is supposedly working on an entire re-write of the Android app due to speed issues and bugs. I read that they released a brand new iOS app last week.

And not that it solves your problem or answers your question but I always use Facebook for HTC Sense and have never had a problem.

I am frustrated with Facebook photo uploading too, but for another reason. When I upload a photo to Facebook, it marks it as "only me". I have to go to Facebook and manually change it to friends. I cannot find ANY setting or other way to change this. Ideas? Am I just missing the settings?
