Root [ROM] Nov-13 MeanROM ICS v6.3 | 2.13.651.1 | Mods | Batt saver | OC 1.7 Ghz

Looked into using the zip to get back to normal clock but according to the forum over at XDA most who have tried found out it didn't work and either had to manually adjust it back to stock or just live with the overclock.

3.3 went out last night and is suppose to fix that now. I like the default OC settings and don't want to go back to stock so i haven't tried it.

You could easily use an app to adjust the clock speed.

Totally up to you though. I honestly don't see much of a difference in normal and overclock speeds with either battery life or performance.

I had slowed it back to 1.51 and went to post just now that it stuck but then I checked it and it was back to 1.89. lol

I set it back again in Super Tuner and checked it to set again on boot. We;ll see what this does.

I will say that even at 1.89 my battery life is as good as it was on this rom back 4 or 5 versions ago when the battery life was amazing. I used the phone for 2 hours this morning and was still at 100%.

If it's going to run this good I may not worry about it. With as many people as have been trying to slow it down though mikey will probably fix this in the next version. I just still don't see a need to oc this phone.

The only way to set the CPU properly is to boot to recovery and flash the option from the MeanROM folder in your internal SD. Use System Tuner after to verify it worked.

A quick read through this thread and the thread at XDA will reveal that people (including myself) are doing that and it isn't working. It will take and then the speed will reset itself. I even set the speed to 1.51 with System Tuner and it reset to 1.89 by itself.

I haven't tried it yet on 3.3 to see if it will stick. I'll report back when i get time to play with it.

It won't work in 3.2, it's fixed in 3.3 with the updated version of the Evilz kernel. From what i've seen on the XDA forum, once you get 3.3 w/ the updated kernel, you should have no issues with flashing the non-OC or any of the other OC settings zip and getting it to stick.

I was debating between 3.1 and 3.3. Seems still some issues with 3.3, so I'm going to flash 3.1 and then wait for 3.4.

I'm running 3.3 with the new Evilz kernel as well without any issues at all. I'm on S-ON so after updating to 3.3 via the OTA Updater i used "flash Image GUI" to update the kernel and just rebooted. Running it at 1.89GHz as well and love it.

Edit: Just noticed my signature isn't showing up...anyone else having the same issue?

I had 3.1 did a dirty flash to 3.3 and I am S-OFF.

hmmm...well i haven't seen anything on xda related to this. Only thought is that if you dirty flashed from a much older version and/or were on 1.15 S-ON and didn't update the kernel. I would try a wipe and fresh install if you are still having issues. If that doesn't fix it, i'm out of ideas.

Good luck

I flashed the no oc file last night and it booted right up at 1.89. Looks like I get to do a wipe and reflash to see if it will slow down. Slowing down with system tuner introduced a ton of lag this time.

My phone was lagging like crazy..screen would light up with a 3 second delay before the text would show up, so I flashed OC off. Phone is now back to normal.

I see no point in OCing. I think I am staying right under the 3.0 update. Sometimes these ROMS get too techy and over the top..there is no need for it in my case since I need the phone to work over everything else.

2.13.651.1 refers to the overall rom, in this case, the latest ota.

You still have to flash radio separately if needed. (Will leave that bit for Rxpert83 ;))

If they are not on H-boot 1.12 they can't flash radios.

The only way to get the updated radios would be to run the RUU, but then you get the new H-boot as well :(
