Third Stone from the Sun
I just pulled the plug and purchased the Tab 2 Student Edition from Best Buy Saturday. I must say it is pretty neat. I haven't hooked it up to the keyboard yet but will be doing it soon.

I guess I wasn't thinking about it but sdcards are not included with it? Can I put the one from my phone in it and will it see the files on it? I'll be buying one ASAP.

I guess I'll need to get some type of sleeve or case for it also.

More questions will follow.

Thnx.

Contratulations on your new tablet. I have the same one. I never thought I would like the keyboard as much as I do. Not only for typing, but is stands the tablet up so you don't have to hold it up.

You should be able to see the phone sd card contents on your tablet as far as I know.

I got a 10 inch zippered neoprene case with a small outside pocket. I put the tablet in the pocket and the keyboard in the main compartment. Actually, my husband got it for me and got the wrong size, but it turned out to be perfect for keeping the keyboard and tablet together. I use this for taking my tab to use for business. It goes nicely in my briefcase. He got it at Sam's Club for under 9$.

I ordered a swivel leather case from Amazon. It allows you to prop it horizontally or vertically. It was 25$.

Enjoy!

Congrats to both of you on your new toy. I've got the same one. My motivation to get it bundle aside was the fact it's white. I havent had a black device since the 1st gen iPad.

@Cork could you please tell me what brand neoprene pouch you have? I have one I bought from the Apple store some time ago but I'd be more interested in the 2 compartment type.

Yours sounds like it'd be right up my alley.

The SD card should be swap-able between tablet and phone one of the many perks of Android. Grats on the new tablet there wonderful little devices.

Wonderful indeed. I find myself blazing on my with the same speed as though I were on my laptop. This little thing is faster than I thought it'd be. Haven't experienced any hiccups or sluggishness yet.

Has Samsung a keyboard for the Galaxy Tab 2?

Yes Mines can with the bundle I bought and they are sold on Amazon too

The bundled tab 2 7.0 (White Student Edition) came with keyboard dock and USB adapter all for $249.00.

I know it was supposed to be "until supplies last." I'm just surprised Amazon hasn't sold out yet.

How does everyone like using the Samsung keyboard?

My case is here. I wish there were a slim case I could leave on while the tab is docked but once docked there is literally no room for a case of any kind.

I LOVEEEEEE the keyboard. I have one for my GT 10" but that wasn't a bundle buy. I couldn't imagine replying in all these forums w/O it. Also, I now use my tabs for texting too so the keyboard is very handy.....cause I got a lot to say. :D

Also about the keyboard, it's extremely responsive. IMO, the keys are laid out to the point of not being cramped. I fly around on mine effortlessly. The one thing I don't like is the built-in keyboard will pop up every time I initiate anything in a text field. I believe there's an app call null keyboard that basically stops the built-in one from popping up. I keep saying I'm going to check it out; just haven't gotten around to it.

Now that was a real good price just the Galaxy Tab2 cost me $249 but I did get a free docking stand with a sound output post.

I was excited about the deal because I never seem to luck up on anything like this. I'm that one that has something then 2 months later (when it's too late to exchange) a deal comes out for what I already have. I got lucky this time because I wasn't too hyped about the Nexus 7, already have the GT 10" and an iPad. There just was no pressing need to get another tablet.

For my outside use I was using the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 but for some really bizarre reason *mine* would not connect to a BT KB. I thought it could be the fact that I rooted it 5 min. out the box. Too much tinkering finally killed it and I was fortunate enough for Samsung to authorize an exchange for a brand new one. I didn't do anything to that one and even tried to connect it to my KB w/O installing any apps. Still a no go.

Once this deal appeared I went back to Best Buy, traded in the player, returned the BT KB's and put all that money towards this. Yay me.... :D

I have a bunch of plain Windows computers also a Apple Mac Pro notebook. I bought a Kindal Fire then I bought a iPad2 so when I saw the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 I just thought lets see what it offers. Not happy with the Samsung software forcing the yellow square's on all human pictures with their face recognition in the viewing program. And Samsung Tech. support says there is no way of turning it off. I understand it's the same with the new Galaxy III Phones. I sent email to Samsung asking about a upgrade fix. They did reply and thanked me for my thoughts.

This actually didn't bother me but then again I didn't use the camera long enough for it to get on my nerves. This tab does takes pics MUCH faster than the SGP5.
I'm looking forward to the release of the Samsung Camera.

I don't use the tablet cameras but I do put a lot of my pictures taken with my DSLR cameras on my tablets, my iPad and Kindal Fire do not do this evil deed.
