Jelly Bean Finally coming to Sprint GNex

almost rooted today. Good to know I might not need to.

...still might anyway.

Go for it anyway. I never rooted a phone until recently. Now that I have, I can't say I would ever not root a new phone if possible. And as for the why (aside from the "get stuff newer" thing), I think of it like this: Even if I waited for the "official" release, I'd STILL be missing out on all the extra things that some of the ROMs have built-in. I love me some Sourcery for sure. There's no way the official JB release is going to let me change my pull-down text, or soft-keys, or anything like what I can do now, without having to add a ton of other apps or whatever. And on top of that, a lot of ROMs are constantly getting updated, features added, bugs tweaked, etc. Sure, we might get an official JB push, but look how long it takes for the carriers to push out even the little updates for fixes.

Finally got it here in Colorado.

After having the Nexus 7 for several weeks, really was looking forward to this.
