Its a tough decision there. I have no 4g service down here at Western Illinois so im not worried about that. Pictures maybe but not really. mms i can wait for also. What do you say is so great about Jelly Bean?

As for WiFi I haven't seen that issue and I have been running it all day on WiFi. Multiple reboots and stuff.

If you need things that are broken here there is always boot manager

I was getting crazy CM9 random reboots but none from that CM10.zip posted in the CM9 thread so I hope this will be good to me also. Is this over clocked by default again still?

It's not a whole lot different from ics (gawd android fan boys are losing their sh#t over that one lol) it's all the little things that make it superior to me. Like the updated notification bar with those sms and email previews. The lock screen with its fresh look. Of course project butter and Google now are big for jelly bean but u can get both of those in mobster rom. Idk it's just cleaner and fresher. And did I mention hella fast!!!

Yeah when I first booted up, I set up my Wi-Fi connection only to have it hang multiple times on the "authenticating" procedure. Then finally after about 4 trys, it connected. I also had Wi-Fi freeze a few times. After 10 seconds or so the page would load or the app would start dl'ing or whatever.

I was excited about CM10 for Project Butter too, but after testing it out on Mobster ROM I actually saw no improvement in smoothness at all. No improvement at all. Could be beaten by GO Launcher in terms of smoothness. Plus it's all shielded by Sense transitions and animations anyway. Also I get SMS radio errors on that ROM.

And sadly after all of the other member donations to get CM9 functional on this phone went towards a now abandoned ROM (hence my hesitation to donate myself), I'm not too hopeful anymore. Something will end up remaining broken that is essential for a daily driver ROM - either camera or MMS would be my bet. Here's to hoping I'm proved wrong. :eek:

CM 10 project butter, go launcher, just scratches head in amazement.. Its not an easy job, and people dont have any idea how many hours and headaches go into merging AOSP builds.. All I want to say is, JMZ thank you for bringing AOSP to the Evo V..

Wow, chill. Jmz isn't even mentioned in my post...and I didn't say I had a problem with him being a well respected Dev. Nor did I criticize anything really. I'm only saying that given the AOSP history of the Evo V so far, I'm not 100% sure if anyone will have the tools they need to get all major parts of a CM10 ROM functional. It's seeming like it could end up like CM9 on the Triumph. I even tried throwing an emoticon in there so nobody would go into a defensive fit, lol.

What about how long it would make to boot up, I downloaded it like 3 times and it seems to go into a boot loop when I first boot it, I wiped everything and. Waited 20 mins each time so whas going on

I just noticed that my Wi-Fi is deep sleeping. When I picked the phone up this morning and turned it on, the Wi-Fi was connected but grayed out. Meaning I want signed in I guess. So I waited like 1 min and it was still saying no internet connection. So I toggled it and it was good. Any ideas?

So I've noticed today that when u get a text or email, the notification light will stick meaning it stays lit up. Also, there's something going on with voice recognition. I downloaded 3 different voice recorder apps from the market and none of them would record passed 2 seconds. Shazam doesn't work either. Not complaining, just helping(I hope.)

I am not 100% sure that the current release has the recording fix. The build I am running has it working. So I might have fixed it after the release. Either way it will be in the release today

I noticed that the Gallery app doesn't work for me. It's just a black screen. Gallery settings is a black screen too.

Would that also have anything to do with in call volume? I've noticed while in call, you cannot turn the volume up or down. It's locked in loud as balls lol
