Apple is screwed... lol

No, you can't say:

"point - Iphone ppi is higher than android phones"

Then say

"but thats not the point"

Then call the person who pointed out your original point was wrong a

"brick wall"

I assume the point was not that the iphone has a higher ppi than android phones but that it is higher than the s3 (albeit slightly) but you typed it wrong?

Anyway, don't get at davoid for not understanding whatever your point is, because I dont think any of us understand your point if it is not the point you tried to make, incorrectly.

This all started from a user moaning about the iPhone 5 not having a HD screen.

I simply pointed out that the ppi on the iPhone 5 screen is better than many Android phones with a HD resolution so it shouldnt matter, mainly the 4.5" and 4.8" screen say I stated.

At the end of the day if users can't be bothered to read the whole thread or try and pick apart how I word posts I don't see why I should bother.

i happen to like the physical home button. there are other phones out there without them, why didnt you get one of them? isnt that the point of android, choice?

physical keyboards take up space. the keys and circuitry take up space. the mechanism for them to slide out/flip open take up space. everyone is going for thinner/lighter/more compact these days. it would be nice if at least the manufacturers or a third party provided a physical keyboard that could snap onto the phone somehow, like the ones available for the iphone. but i doubt there would be enough demand for that to be worthwhile in the first place

Kind of a funny response, "choice" . . . then "everyone is going for . . ." lol. But yes, I'm increasingly getting resigned to the reality that my next phone probably won't have a keyboard on it.

It's OK, I'll try not to post anything positive about the iPhone 5 again, if this is the sort of trouble it causes it's not worth it.

Post something positive by all means. Just try to ensure if you're doing a comparison you word it in such a way that it can not be misconstrued or seen as incorrect as we saw here today.

Members' points can often change from post to post, when things other members post offer up further information, elaboration or correction. Sometimes a point made by someone can be changed with one post from someone else.

Bearing this in mind, the only point that can be taken at "face value" is the one that is self contained within a single post.

If a point is made, with pieces strewn across multiple posts, it holds no integrity and other members may not be able to assemble it into a single point. Even if they do, what they assemble and what you mean could be two entirely different things.

This is a text based medium. It is easy to miss a post or misunderstand the true meaning of what someone is trying to say. Please try to make your points succinct. This will relieve your frustration with other members' if they do not understand what your point is. That way, its a friendlier place for all of us. None of us want to fight.

Yes we have HDR. Don't expect realistic specs on non-apple devices from apple specific literature.

Well I might have hoped for honesty!

I tried to post an innocent comment on his article drawing his attention to the absurdity of comparing the specs when you have no idea about the CPU specs - like buying a Ferrari after being told by the salesman "well it definitely has an engine" - but the anti spam thing wouldn't let me post no matter how many times I tried. Guess I am lucky he didn't take a lawsuit out?

Honesty is a fallacy. Honesty can be achieved simply by believing you speak the truth. It takes no account of fact :)

Hahah. Typical. Seriously though, could it have been the word Ferrari?

I think that you can assume that if the phones with keyboard were big enough sellers, you'd be able to buy them. Or if they commanded enough of a price premium from those who do want them. I suspect that those are the real reasons that few people are making them.

I just don't see how that whole changing the port then charging $30 for an adapter, Was considered a good idea.

I also don't understand why this new iPhone looks like Androids did about two years ago.

I've never liked Apple's products. They are known for being user friendly but to be honest, They aren't for me.

I keep having to change my password because It's security makes me choose ones I'll never remember. I always struggle with finding free apps that suit my taste. I've got little to no customization allowed to play with. Worst was the fact that when I jailbreak them, It makes the device act horribly.

I'm just the tinkering, customizing, modifying type with a love for open source android. ^.^

Edit: I also don't like their computers because they've put the options in "Obvious" places. So obvious, I can never find them. Like putting keys on a counter so you can remember them then ending up looking everywhere else. I'm complicated and I suppose that speaks for my likes in technology too.

Let's not forget that Android was really popularized by a phone with a keyboard - OG Droid. I had the first as well as the second iteration and they were great phones. Would still choose a phone with a keyboard if there were any hi-end choices.

They aren't making too many higher spec phones with physical keyboards. I've noticed most of my customers who want their smartphone to have a keyboard, Are those people who are freshly converting. So the specs aren't as important as they would be to some.

Almost 85% of my customers, in my opinion, are just used to having a phone with non-touchscreen. They need to transition themselves, The keyboard helps this. Those people eventually end up with keyboard-less phones once they've adjusted usually. I've seen that quite a bit.

You're obsolutely right.

When I convinced my fiancee to move over to Android from BlackBerry, she wanted a physical keyboard so I got her a SE Xperia Mini Pro. She found herself using the keyboard less and less then she ended up getting the S3.

well, a physical home button isnt as much of an inconvenience for manufacturers to offer. you could get a bluetooth keyboard i suppose. theres a guy on xda in the s3 accessories section that has a 3d printer and is open to prototyping for people, so if you can come up with a design thatll mount the phone and keyboard, he'd probably make it for ya :D

Apple's stock rose nearly up to $700 a share, highest its ever been and the iPhone 5 is already sold out for at least 2 weeks.

Also, on every iPhone video I go on YouTube, all I see is Android fans spamming their hate for the iPhone, go to a Galaxy S3 video and Android fans are still slating the iPhone and there's no to very little iPhone fans on there slating the S3, says it all really.......

Between me and my friend, we've used the HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire S, Xperia X10, Galaxy S and Galaxy S3 for a few months for each device and we both end up coming back to the iPhone. Sorry but there's no way the S3 is going to get 32 days on standby.

My two cents, just getting annoying that every iPhone related video, forum or article I got to, all I see is Android fans spamming their hate for iPhone 5 and love for S3, even on iPhone forums -_-

That's because most of the Android fanboys aren't even through puberty yet. Nothing but foul mouthed kids who love nothing better than to be internet bullies.

They don't realize that these are just phones and arguing over which one is better is about as logical as arguing over what the best color crayon there is.

I dunno... does this seem a bit desperate?

Seems they didn't bother listing some iPhone specific features.

I'm not surprised it sold out so quickly. People will buy anything apple puts out.

The fact of the matter is the iPhone 5 just didn't introduce anything groundbreaking
It didn't introduce anything but IMO its a good thing, people who are stuck on a 2 year contract with the i4S won't feel like their phones out dated. It basically is a iPhone 4S with a longer screen but it'll be at least a year before apps even use the extra screen. I've bought and sold a few Android phones since 2010 and the only phone I couldn't come to sell was my iPhone 4 but I have no urge to buy the i5S, not even remotely interested in buying it although my friend who has a S3 has pre ordered the second pre orders became available.

Wow, I assumed kids loved Call Of Duty, Blackberry's for BBM, iPhone's, iPad's and iPod's only. Man, was I wrong then.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. There's nothing new. It seems like the only reason they came out with it was because someone said "well you know we release a phone every year so we have to release one".

They've caught up to android with a few features they've been missing but I can't say they've surpassed it with anything.

What more could they add other than allow customisation of the UI, live wallpapers and widgets? Hardware wise the i4S was already good, it's iOS Apple need to change a bit.

Isn't that what every companies aspires to do? Make as much $ as they can with little work.
