Also, on every iPhone video I go on YouTube, all I see is Android fans spamming their hate for the iPhone, go to a Galaxy S3 video and Android fans are still slating the iPhone and there's no to very little iPhone fans on there slating the S3, says it all really.......

Errm, seriously ? there are plenty of fanboys on both sides, don't make it out to be a one sided argument.

Apples are simple, generally very smooth running, well made devices. This appeals to a huge number of users along with feeling like they are the privileged because they own an Apple. they don't care about customization, just something that works and this will suit them, I think that's okay.

Obviously, there is lots of envy with regard to screen size and lack of screen-popping vividness, but Apple has tried to address that with an additional 1/2" of screen on the vertical and a somewhat improved brilliance to the images , but that's it. And perhaps this is enough to keep them happy.

Frankly, I was astonished with the 8MP camera, but my guess is their iPhone 5P P for photo, will boast a 12-15MP upgrade. Something to get the next batch of units selling.

They now have an additional 1 billion dollars for R&D, so I wonder what they will do with it.

Perhaps they will patent square cornered circles! lol

That would hardly be groundbreaking though. I got a Sony Ericsson Satio in October 2009 and it had a 12 megapixel camera and so did the Nokia N8 I got in May 2011.

NO, go to a S3 video and iPhone 5 video on YouTube, you will see 99% of comments are from Android fanboys on either products and view all comments and scroll and all you will see is comments slating the iPhone, maybe the odd one for the S3 but majority are are from Android fanboys.

Go on, go check.

It's OK, I'll try not to post anything positive about the iPhone 5 again, if this is the sort of trouble it causes it's not worth it.

What makes me laugh about threads like this is the majority of posters slating the i fanboys don't realise that is exactly what they are themselves, a bunch of fanboy bandwagon jumpers, i bet 90% of them haven't used an iphone in their lives.

I certainly wouldn't class myself as a "fanboy". I have owned a GS2 and GS3 because they were/are the best phones at a reasonable price. When I got my first PC I didnt dig the idea of Apple PC's being "stand alone" and the Iphone range seemed overpriced for what they offered
If another maker came up with a better phone than the GS3 I would probably buy that, but the I5 clearly isnt a better phone by any yardstick.

You are no doubt one of the 10% i referred to, the other 90% will not be posting i am sure.

I was posed this question just a month ago. iPad or Android Tab? I have two friends that are traveling across America and wanted something to have in the cab of the truck (connecting to their Mifi). While having the discussion they came to the conclusion they wanted an Android device. I am still not sure why. I mostly steered them toward the iPad dude to their ability to get quick warranty/training/services/... at a nearby Apple store. They were hung up on the fact that they could have widgets that allow info at a glance. This may also be from me showing them my Transformer but They went with the TF300. They have been happy ever since.

The key here is that they are not savy users. They just wanted something that works. I have received two emails with HELP (they could not find the mic icon on the screen :) It was white and hiding in the upper left of the screen which had a white background.), but they were easy questions. So it seems even these older folks were able to just use the device. So the "it just works" stance is changing as well.

SO there is a narrowed gap now as far as ease of use within the interfaces. I still think Apple holds this lead though.

In all fairness I think the only reasons for choosing TF300 over iPad as stated was the widgets and the fact they could use me as customer support vs an Apple store Genius :).

The disparity between the ease of use on the phones is becoming much more narrow as well. The TW interfaces are well laid out and easy to use in comparo to some other instances.

I'm reading the live blog for the iPhone 5 announcement right now and can't believe how spot-on predictable and non-innovative this phone is turning out to be.

I have a feeling this thing is going to turn away a lot of iPhone users... Samsung better plan on ramping up production. :D

And you would be wrong. Never underestimate the hold that Apple has on the average consumer; Apple products are certainly "aspirational". And Apple benefits from this big way.

Apple will keep the faithful happy with this!

I wouldn't be so sure. Initially there will be many Apple faithful ordering it, but you have to remember, there are tens of millions of iPhone owners out there, and I wouldn't be surprised that some of them will be underwhelmed and will look elsewhere.

When all is said and done I expect to see iPhone's market erode, even if it's not substantial, and given the current climate, they won't be happy at all to see Android gain even a small amount.

Both are great! I will love my Note 2 but comparing Android to Apple is like comparing a great Japanese high tech watch (in our case Android) to iPhone which would be a Rolex. Both keep time great, except one is more high tech but with a poor build quality, while the other is held in high regard for its bar none quality and design. In the end...who cares what others have to say about your stuff? I do agree both Apple and Android consumers should try both products and stfu with all the comparisons. This vs that vs the other...it will never end.
