Note 2 purchase on VZW or AT&T?

Hey guys,

I'm currently on Verizon. I will be purchasing the note 2 when it releases in late October. I'm debating on leaving VZW. It's my understanding that a device like this is more versatlile on AT&T. Is this true? I do some international travel andam trying to take that into account. Any feedback guys?

I'm not a big fan of rooting my phones.

I do some international travel and have always heard GSM phones are better for that. I know with the Lte technology though Verizon has some phones that work internationally this likely to be one of them at some point.

Is Verizon's Lte network that much superior to Att's Lte network?

I've never had either provider, so I couldn't tell you how att manages their sim (lock or unlock), but in order for you to use a att phone with a pre-paid international card, you'd the sim slot would have to be unlocked.

That said, I have a motorola photon (original) for sprint, which is an international phone, and the sim is unlocked, so multiple people have reported being able to use international sim cards without issue.

I'm sure there are other phones from att and verizon that have similar capabilities. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you which ones work.

I'm on Verizon right now, currently free of any contract w/unlimited. Based on the coverage I'm able to compare(work gives me an ATT iPhone), I'm going to just go with AT&T for the fact that I can get phones much more easily with AT&T, and coverage is equal--if not better on AT&Ts network in my frequented areas.

Byebye evil red empire. Hurry up and get this damn phone out AT&T!
