I'm using an Ultra Nano Clear, but I don't like the fact it doesn't reach the sides and I'm intending to order a Curved Crystal eventually.

On a positive, and perhaps negative note, while I was at a drifting day last weekend there was a lot of dust/sand being flicked up and I managed to get a HUGE scratch on the screen. In a way I'm grateful that it's the protector and not the phone itself, but I can't help but think the damage wouldn't have been anywhere near as severe if it didn't have the protector.

Overall I like it, it's very clear, becomes very smooth after being used for a while, it's not had any issues staying stuck down in the month-odd I've had it. Will wait until it's unbareable and then order a curved crystal I think, just hoping that won't scratch as easy.

While I'm awaiting my Spigen Curved, I got these screen protectors: https://www.clarivue.com/samsung-i9300-galaxy-s-iii-screen-protector.html. I'd heard good things about Clarivue and the end-result is awesome. I can't tell the difference in clarity and after 7 days of heavy use (the "new" hasn't worn off the new toy, yet), there's no sign of wear, scratches, or peeling. There's no orange-peel texture. I don't feel that plastic-feel that I've noticed from prior screen protectors. They're also oleophobic, so fingerprints are slighly less than with no protector at all. What I hate about them is the installation. As is probably typical for screen protectors nowadays, the protector comes sandwiched between two protective films. You remove the back film while you apply the virgin protector to your freshly polished, dust-free screen. That was no problem. You then have to peel off the outer protective film (both films have a "handy" piece of tape so you can "easily" peel them free. While the outer film is still in place, you can work out the bubbles without concern for damaging the actual screen protector. The problem is that it was very difficult to remove the outer protective film. The handy piece of tape just kept peeling off. I even tried scotch tape - no dice. Finally, I finagled the outer layer off using a tiny Exacto knife. I had to repeat that process for both phones. However, like I said, the end-result is great. No bubbles, no peeling, no scratches.

Anyone have any tips for getting that outer layer off should I run into the same scenario with the Spigen's?

Usually there is a tab attached to it and the whole outer layer just peels away easily. Not sure what the issue is with yours.

I found putting the protector on ina steamy hot bathroom, made a tedious job even more tedious. Chances are you will only get a speck or two if any and they are easy to pull out with tape. Getting the protector to line up perfect is a total pain and if you're starting to sweat it doesn't make it easier.

I also saw a youtube of a guy doing this and he just undoes the very top edge of the bottom plastic sheet, attaches it, and then sort of unrolls the thing so that as soon as the bottom sheet is getting pulled away, the SP underneath is beginning to attach to the glass. On mine I'd just take off the whole bottom sheet and then be messing around trying to lay it onto the phone.....probably more chance to pick up dust in the air that way. Next time I'll try his trick, maybe in combo with the shower steam.

With the rearth ringboo there is basically no room for a margin of error. I started from the top just like the video you watched but by the time it got to the bottom it was slightly askew. I wound up peeling the whole thing up , keeping the top right in contact and then lining up the right side before laying it back down.

Yep, the "tab" to which you're referring is the "handy piece of tape" to which I was referring. The problem is that the tab/tape, just peeled away from the film instead of separating it from the protector. By design, it sounds good, however, on all 4 tries, this was my experience.

Hmm to each their own. I can see what you are talking about though

I got the Rearth one from amazon. Came with two and it's EXCELLENT. Coming from Steinheil one on my iPhone 4S this is really good. Smooth surface so it doesn't have much friction was a huge plus. No weird oily look either. Also like how it's slightly smaller than the outer edge so my cases don't get pushed up. Recommend it 100%. I also applied it in my bathroom with just the sink going, wasn't steamy but I got zero dust under it. Was very happy with the entire process and product.

this one isn't in the poll.

I would be naked except I just bought the extended battery and case and the case was garbage. I don't like no screen protector if I have no case on the phone. The case has that little lip on it and the phone will never be flush to a surface. Case + no protector or protector + no case is how I roll. I hate screen protectors and just bought the Zagg HD the other night. It works fine.

Warning to the people that ordered the Curved Clear. It might still lift depending on the type of tpu or case you use with it. Though I love the fit and feel of it, it still peels when I use my diztronic tpu with it. I'm gonna order another case to see if its just that case. If its not the tpu then i have to say stay away from the curved. Did anybody else have this problem?

I bought a matte screen protector at the AT&T store that the salesman recommended (it was on his personal SGS3). I liked it for the anti-glare and no fingerprints, but after not being able to scan my screen at stores (I use CardStar and Starbucks apps) and completely being unable to see the screen in bright daylight, it's peeled off and now sits in a corner.

I was on a hike this weekend and couldn't take pics because the screen was completely obscured, so I had to remove it and put it in my pack. Don't think it'll be going back on my screen, I'm too active outdoors to have to peel it off every time I want to use it outside (it's the reusable dry application type).

I used to use Zagg and Ghost Armor on my iDevices, but my iPad 2 and iPad 3 have had no screen protectors, and my iPad 2 sold after a year with not a single scratch.

If I apply one to the SGS3 again, it'll maybe be one of the Steinheil Ultra Crystal ones that I hear rave reviews about. Anyone know if your screen is still scannable through those (like Starbucks, CVS, etc)?

I have an ultra clear on my GS3, I can scan QR codes easily enough.

You can give it a try yourself:

That was taken with my Infinity tablet, which scanned it easily enough with it's own barcode scanner. The QR code directs to Google's page.

I read some of these posts commenting on the iVisor and how much it sucked for them, but I'm actually really happy with it. I've always liked anti-glare screen protectors so I know that they do reduce some of the brightness of the phone and stuff, but I just like the feel of them and um...that they are anti-glare. My favorite part about the iVisor is that it covers the top and bottom portions of the front of the phone, not just the actual screen. My only concerns with the iVisor is that, because of the phone's curved sides, the screen protector is sorta raised from the sides. I've been using it with my Speck CandyShell case and since the CandyShell has a lip, it hugs the sides and keeps the screen protector in place, not affecting it at all. But when I tried on my cheap cassette silicon case from ebay, since it's soft it doesn't really stay static on the phone, I would often lift the entire screen protector when holding the phone from the sides from the silicone pushing onto the iVisor. I do like that the iVisor is air bubble-free, removable, and even washable, but wish they had cut it a little shorter so the sides wouldn't be raised. I'm going to try the EXTREME invisibleShield but yeah there ya go, my review on the iVisor :)

Very happy with Zagg invisible shield. It was on the expensive side. Costed me almost $40 including installation and taxes. I was going to get ghost armor on mine like I always get on all my devices. I saw the hd invisible shield installed on employees phone at best buy. Looked really nice and thin and super clear. They did a good job on the installation.

I've been using my phone for a few weeks and there isn't a single mark or scratch on my screen, I don't like screen protectors and don't see the point in buying them.

I don't either, but somehow my S3 got scratched, and I've no clue why. It's only a minor one, and you have to look for it to find it, but it's there and it drives me crazy lol.

I've used the XtremeGUARD screen protector (not listed on the voting choices) on my Galaxy S in the past, so I put one the S3. It's certainly not as nice as the smooth screen, but it's close; it's smooth and doesn't distort the screen in any way as others do, and it's only $5.99 from Amazon for the full body, which I like as it keeps the back from scratching when you set it down.

If you're looking for a decent screen protector for a reasonable price, check it out.

While I'm awaiting my Spigen Curved, I got these screen protectors: https://www.clarivue.com/samsung-i9300-galaxy-s-iii-screen-protector.html. ...

Once the Clarivue was installed (note my previous post about installation difficulty), I ultimately had no complaint with it. However the Spigen Curved came in about 2 weeks ago, so I immediately removed the perfectly fine Clarivue because I was anxious to have a protector that covered the entire screen. Installation was the easiest ever! Since it perfectly covers the screen edge-to-edge, there's no guessing about where to start with installation. Bubbles almost took care of themselves, but the included quality cloth and squeegee took care of the lingering bubbles. I instantly noticed much less smudging and fingerprints. While the Clarivue claimed oleophobic properties, the Spigen absolutely spanks the Clarivue in this regard. When there is the rare accumulation of smudges, they're resolved with a single swipe with a cloth - no buffing needed. There is no lifting or peeling with the Spigen even with my case (which I love, by the way). This is the perfect protector.

Can anyone with the SGP Steinheil Curved Crystal confirm whether it has the indentation problem as seen in the YouTube review by 'TheAngelofmusic1989'? It won't let me post a link here, but if you go to YouTube and type 'curved crystal review', it's the 4th one down. You can see the issue at the 2:55 mark.

This looks like it could be a major issue after the protector has been on there a while.
