Is the T-Mobile Galaxy S3 a crappy version of other carriers?

I had the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 and it was a downgraded version. No gorilla glass, crappier processor, etc. Is the s3 the same situation?

i wouldnt think so... i just jumped on tmobile from metro PCS. i have to say i think the GS3 is a damn good phone. service is pretty good as well.

I am in the same boat.. Sprint is horrible here in Michigan. I never had so many dropped calls in my life. It is a 50\50 shot whether or not I can even make a call.

only thing the t-mo s3 doesnt have is LTE. otherwise its all the same

Joemonkey, I understand your point, but you can't deny that Chinese cheap mock are crappy imitation of the original. Everyone knows that, it is fact. It is not a matter of being racist. The point is that unlike other countries, China is the leader in "copying".

Have you ever been to the NYC Chinatown? Pretty much all they sell there are knock-offs/forgeries.

and you wonder why plenty of US companies manufacture products in china (1) to reduce the cost (2) to maximize their bottom lines.

surely, you must know apple assemble all their products in china. i ordered an apple macbook air and it was shipped from china.

That isn't the point. That just shows how companies around the world take advantage of them. I didn't say they produce crap, but what they come up with by themselves usually is just a blatant copy. Again, there are some very good Chinese company. Clearly, though, if there is a fake, you're likely to find out it was made in China by small Chinese companies.

The T-Mobile version is not downgraded in any way except for not having LTE support.
