I was getting excellent battery life....sometimes 40 hours. Within the last week my battery has gone from great to terrible. After 45 minutes of the phone doing nothing I am already at 90%. I did a restore after installing ICS a while back, I have not installed recently, have powered down the phone and closed all running apps. I even turned off 4G. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have noticed, that some times the OS seems to run a little longer on somthing, and can use a bit more battery. Then, everything goes back to normal. I'd give it a few days and see if it continues.

I ended up getting just over 8 hours today before the phone died. This was with just about no useage. The phone sat in my pocket for most of the day with a few text messages as well as very very light Internet useage. I usually get close to 40 hours of battery with similar useage if not more. So today I got 5 times less......this blows my mind and I am somewhat pissed. Hoping I can find a solution or this fixes itself on its own

A couple apps that I found have a significant negative impact on my battery life are the gmail email widget - NOT the gmail app itself, but the widget - which allows you to run a fullscreen inbox. Also, I noticed that beautiful widgets takes up a lot of battery life when all the eye candy, such as animations, are turned on.
If you are running either of those, try disabling them and see if it helps.
