One Click Lag Fix actually works

sremick,
Maybe a dumb question, But is the froyo 2.2 .ucJI a hacked rom?

Since there is no official 2.2 for the Captivate yet, all the 2.2 ROMs out there are "hacked", to some extent or another. I suppose if you used the old leaked version as-is it wouldn't be "hacked" beyond the hacking necessary to simply install it, but it's so problematic I can't imagine anyone using it just as-is.

Would this be a "newer" rom?? Or is there one you recommend? If so please post a link to it. Thank you soooo much.
There are lots of different ROMs out, all have plusses and minuses. I don't use any myself, but there's a list here:

ROM Table - CapFAQ

It's up to the user to decide which suits them best and which issues they're ok with living with. It's critical to read the threads fully for any ROM you want to install before you install it. Flashing hacked ROMs isn't without risk.

Does this OCLF work with the new J16 update? I just got my vibrant and the J16 update came preinstalled...

Considering how OCLF does its thing, and how old/outdated the method is, I wouldn't trust it on any update... even if it appears to "work".

OCLF's techniques are depreciated. As they say all over XDA forums: it's extremely easy to corrupt your filesystem using loopback "lagfixes" and ext2 (a filesystem that is almost 20 years old). Anyone who understands how these things work cannot in good-faith recommend their use.

Not sure when it became accepted to risk sacrificing the integrity of your phone for the sake of some artificially-inflated fake benchmark scores.
