Status Bar Oddities

Running completely stock, non-rooted, locked VZW GNex on recently updated 4.1.1.

This morning I noticed my battery showed that it was charging, had the lightning bolt on the battery, but was not plugged in. Pulled the battery and rebooted, that went away.

Now, I have my battery percentage in the upper left hand corner of the status bar and I have no idea why it would be there since I'm not running any custom ROM's or any app that would do this (See screenshot).

Anyone else seen either of these oddities? I was running the leaked 4.1.1 and it seemed to be a lot more stable and work better for me but I wanted to try the stock, unlocked, unrooted version...should've just left well enough alone.

Not sure how you randomly managed to get battery %, check your apps. Maybe you had a battery app that was killed and rebooting caused it to run again.

As for charging, I had this issue this morning somewhat differently. I woke up to check my phone to see it was at the same % I left it off last night, 31%. This was weird, and it showed it wasn't charging. Messed with the USB it didn't change. I rebooted and it fixed it, showing me at 98% then charging/changing charge icon normally.
