Root New to rooting and flashing want some advice

I want to put CM9 on my epic 4g but I had a question first. I have my phone rooted with clockworkmod v2 installed. I have backed up my phones contents with Titanium backup and I have done an nandroid backup as well. My question is are both of these backups on my SD card? If so then will installing CM9 on my phone wipe the SD card?

I just dont want to lose my backups (obviously!) and the apps that I do have installed on the SD card.

Thanks for the help!

No, flashing the ROM will not effect your SD card in any way. Just make sure CM 9 is on your SD card, wipe your data, cache, and delvik cache 3 times each (just to be safe), then install the ROM. You should also download a copy of Google Apps and install that from the SD card as well before booting for the first time.
