Anyone have an IKEA mattress?

Our last trip to IKEA for a cheap dresser the wife and I looked at mattresses. We still have an old full size we sleep on now and were looking for a queen (not a huge size difference, but still). We, fortunately, agree on a very firm mattress so we looked at a few. This is the one we liked most:

Price is pretty cheap for a mattress, but not sure if it's worth it as a long time investment. Virtually our entire apartment is IKEA and some of it is fine, other pieces fall apart quickly.
Don't know much about their mattresses. Anyone own one or slept on one?
As an aside, recommendations on a firm mattress that will last us several years and won't break the bank? (really don't like memory foam style BTW)

I've no idea, to be honest. The only tag on it is the Sultan one, but most of them seem to be branded with that.

It must be close to 6 years old now that I think about it, so yeah, it seems to be holding up fine.

I encourage anyone that likes a firmer mattress to look at the Temperpedic or at least one of the quality knock offs. I know you said you're not fond of the foam though. I hated it when we first tried it out because I felt like the mattress was trying to eat me. Now I really can't imagine unlife without it. The commercials don't lie, it really is the best night sleep.

When we bought our IKEA mattress I was initially impressed. After not too long and because we'd sit on one side of it, it started changing shape. It also creeks a lot when one of us tries to get out of bed - which IKEA said it wouldn't when we bought it.

I recently slept on a mattress at the Wynn in Vegas and was blown away. I think next time I'll certainly be looking elsewhere.

i purchased an memory ikea foam mattress recently. so far, its been good to me ( queen size ). i did however researched prior to purchasing one, and people said for the price its not bad but it may sag in a few years. remedy this problem by purchasing a mattress topper if it happens.

this is what i have

I've been dying to get one. How does it compare to a sleep number do ya think?

Hmm white text useless on app, lol

I couldn't say I've never used one, but my girlfriend has had to sleep on them when she travels and she hates them.

Yowzers, some interesting posts here:
Sleep Number or TempurPedic? (heat, smells, installed, mold) - remodeling, decorating, construction, energy use, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, building, rooms - City-Data Forum

Two other things we're looking for: little to no creaking (I move quite a bit in my sleep, not the best sleeper ) and not too hot. Neither of us like a hot bed and I'm really frugal with A/C.

Remember the commercial with the girl jumping on the bed and the glass of wine not spilling at the other end? That is just what it is like. You don't feel the other person moving at all. As far as heat goes, mine doesn't get hot at all.
