Help Google Wallet

Are you referring to the version you had installed no longer working after the Jelly Bean update? If so, you can download and install a working APK.

I'm running version 1.5-R79-v5 on my Verizon GN.

That is the same version that I am running. I downloaded the BAMF Gapps and extracted it on my phone, then installed it. Works just fine for me.

Saw an update to Wallet on Google Play today. Should we take it or deny it? Anybody try this yet?

EDIT: Only updated on my N7. Anyone see an update on their GNex, by chance?

I can see there is an update if I go to the My Apps > Installed tab and slide down until I see the app. It tells me that it is not compatible for my device when I try and update though.

What were the new "enhancements" when you updated on your Nexus 7?

Thanks. I got mine working again (just updated to JB). I did pull the one from BAMF GAPPS, but didn't sideload that one, I sideloaded one from a link on the comment section of droid-life article above.

It's reasons like this that community is awesome. There is no reason whatsoever that carriers should be able to prevent users form installing certain apps as long as those apps don't damage the carriers network.

Could you elaborate? Because I honestly wouldn't know where to start with that (using JBSourcery v2.3 currently).

The build.prop file is in /system.
You will need to edit two lines then reboot.
Yes, it takes longer than side loading, but I would rather get it directly from the store.

Thanks! Worked like a charm. I used Root Explorer to edit it, and after a reboot I downloaded and installed Google Wallet without any issue (I changed the build.prop back, and of course get the "unsupported device" notice in the app, but it works fine).

I'm ok with the little extra hassle doing it this way. I just have a hard time trusting anything but the official source when it's something that holds my credit card info.
