Root TWRP v2.2.2.1 Recovery for Prevail by Hroark13

Well tried to switch back and then restore the most recent cwm backup and have my mem back to where it was before? Anyone else see this? Will try to switch over back again and see if lost mem happens again, Wired?? 60mb is still ok I guess seeing it never really went down from there before, and if stays will be ok. I have a lot of apps with lots of data that used up a lot of mem.

Welllllllllllllllllllll, I didn't steal your 10MB, but I haven't done a restore either yet ! ;)

I usually always do a restore rt away to see if it takes. A while back I had a problem, but anyways I lost 10mb and gained it back when switched back to cwm and will try back to other maybe tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone else sees this?

Nobody in this section owns the TU. I know two people that own one, but I'm neither smart enough, nor around the device long enough to even attempt porting it. Hroark explained what he needed to add to the kernel to get it to work. Can you guys even compile a kernel from source yet?
Talk to your devs, i bet one of them can do it.

yea man blood owns this phone

Now I have been steady at like 70mb free of mem with all my apps and data, ect... Whenever I did cwm backups nothing changed, I did a backup and then a restore to make sure it works and all is great but now my mem went from 70 to 55mb, what is up with that and has anyone else seen this?
Haven't done a single thing and lost like 10mb on internal all around mem, not sd but manage apps in settings. will wait to see if others have this or will try to revert back and see if there is a change back to what was.

are you formatting all partitions on phone and sd-ext? as well as wipe data/cache/dalvik? or just restoring over existing system?

I have over 100 backups and just backup over what is there and restore over what is there too. Never had a problem before only with this new recovery. I did new recovery and lost 10 then went back to cwm and got it back then back to new recovery and lost the 10 again:thinking::thinking:

Ok, I confess to not keeping up with AF for a few months but it seems that the most interesting thing I missed is TWRP.

I have read what I can find and get the impression that Hroark released it for the Prevail and then withdrew it due to some bugs.

I also thought that Kouma was working on it also.

I cannot find a link to download although I see that some folks seem to think that it runs fine.

Pardon my ignorance, but I have been job hunting and forced myself to minimize phone stuff for a while.

If there is a working version, where is the link. Also, I am running CM7 with S2E and am perfectly happy with it and CWM. But, if the Touchscreen Recovery is available, I would like to try it.

You are correct sir. Hroark pulled the links due to the bugs. As soon as he gets them fixed he will re-post them. :D

I'll have to ask Hroark what bugs there are, the only one I'm aware of is that it will mount RFS partitions as VFAT, which causes all kinds of problems with permissions
