Will you jump ship from Gnex to LG G Nex?

Wow......everyone talking down about an LG device. I wonder if all you who said something negative actually owned an LG or your just going by what the next person says. The fact of the matter is LG makes very nice handsets that are build better then majority of your plastic Samsung mobile devices. The problem with LG is not hardware but software. They suck at updating their devices and the UI stinks! Other then that majority of their phones (build wise) are great.

On to the subject of the LG Nexus. Do you actually think that Google will release a non 4G Nexus at this time of age? I highly doubt that. As for 8 gigs.....if Google allows that then that is a failure itself. As for other branded Nexus devices, there hasn't been any leaks from Moto, Sammy, HTC or any other maker. That alone makes me think what you see here is what you get.

Had the VZ GN for almost 1 year...still unhappy about that awful vz release and on going treatment but thats another story.

I'm not one of those who wants a new phone every year so I'll be waiting for the 2013 nexus phones. But in the back of my head I'm wondering if I still need to buy a great phone anymore. With my N7, I hardly ever touch my phone. I reach for the N7 before I reach for the phone even if the GN is closer to me than the N7 (obviously not the case if I have to receive a call). I'm thinking my next phone would just be one with great battery life and no hassle with tethering to the N7. Do I really need more than that?

I'll be saving up for a couple of months for a new phone but, hopefully by the time the LG Nexus comes out and they put a sd card slot in and depending on price point yea I may get it. If it only has 8 gigs of internal and no sd card, I'll be getting the Galaxy S3 instead. I love my nexus don't get me wrong but, I need the external storage and 16 gigs is barely enough for me. I won't make my mind up till it official is out. I'm still shopping around.

For all it's worth YES I will be jumping ship, to either a I5 or this new LG Nexus, the GNex has a crappy speaker, volume buttons that might aswell be touch sensitive, a creaky battery cover and the fact that all Nexus phones are not equal, I only got my JB update yesterday when Samsung got round to giving it to me, I'm on a unlocked GSM.
LG have a lot to prove so they cannot really mess this opportunity.

My answer is maybe.. it depends on the finished product and whether Google's moving to a Nexus scheme rather than a series of individual devices.
Although my GN is fantastic and meets my needs at the moment I would really like Gorilla Glass (I have some minor but noticeable screen scratches despite babying it from day one) and I desperately need more battery life. Although I have the Samsung extended GSM battery I've had to get used to having charging leads everywhere and carrying a battery pack on days out

I don't feel the need to upgrade every time a new phone is out, and I'm happy with my Galaxy Nexus, which should be able to handle a couple more versions of Android.

I also don't want to upgrade since it will cost me my unlimited data.

Nothing against LG though, before my first smart phone I had the Env2 and was durable, had good signal, good keyboard and good battery life.
