You know, the little widget that allows you to say just about anything and it will do it??? I cannot for the life of me....find it. I go to the Play Store and there it is and it says "Installed". It does not show up in the app tray. It does not show up in the widget section of the app tray. It does not show up in HTC Hub and it does not show up in any searches using different file explorers.

I put this widget on my front and center home screen and use it extensively. I just can't find it. Thanks in advance and pardon me if this is a dupe. I did do a search on here and it turned out way too much stuff to pick through.

I did not add it. It is obviously a preinstalled app. And like Earlymon said, no choice to uninstall. And no, I do not think I have the latest update. I plan on rooting and still have hboot 1.12. I just got the phone yesterday.
I was referring to my old phone ref front and center. You can run your whole phone with that thing.

i know the widget is installed on the phone. my meaning on if you added it meant did you ADD the widget to a different home screen. i did not mean for you to think i said did you go to the store to install it. you CAN remove it from the home screen and seems you may have done just that. if you go into your widgets (i think in personalize?) scroll in there and you should find it.

EDIT: hold up. so if i am picking up what you are laying down, you are saying you are NEW to this phone and out of the box you cant find it to add it to the screen. is this correct? if so, you have to add it from the widgets.

Looking for "Voice Search" in a 1x1 widget....not just "google search". Google Search will always take you to the internet. I want something that will make calls and texts and navigate just by saying "Call so and so" or "Text so and so" or "Navigate to so and so". I do realize that I can do those voice commands within there respective apps but it requires numerous keystrokes to get there before I can actually use the voice commands. With "Voice Search" it is ONE keystroke and then SPEAK and then the action occurs.....very helpful when driving.

Edit: Sorry for all of this. While the 1x1 widget is still missing, the 4x1 "google search" app does all of the above and what I am seeking. Thanks for all of the help. Now it is just a matter of a smaller widget. Thanks again and apologize! Although it still does require one more keystroke to launch the mic. The voice search goes straight to the mic.

there is a mic on that google bar. i just asked it to call someone in my address book. it pulled it up.. is that not what you are asking to do?

Yep...it works(although not quite as well as on my 3d...maybe still getting accustomed to my voice?). Now just a widget issue. That is a lot of space taken up for the homescreen.
