[ROM]Blazer ROM[9/3/12][If you're reading this it's too late][LG8][v1.8]

I think I read in the main thread at XDA that the developer does not have an S3. Is/was that just a temporary situation? I am hesitant to use a ROM that the developer does not use himself no matter how good the testers are. It's just doesn't seem the same as using it everyday.

One other thing that is not clear. It says it's fast an has good battery life. Is the speed achieved just by clearing out bloatware, or is the CPU overclocked?

Right now my battery life sucks and I can't figure out why. I am rooted on the stock LG8 update. I was on CM7 for my EVO. i am looking for alternatives for my S3.

The overclocking is something done by the user. I've never seen a ROM that does it by itself. The kernel is what allows for over clocking and as far as I can tell, its a stock kernel. That being said, the stock kernel on the S3 might allow for it out of the gate, but I've never over clocked any of my android devices as it tends to doin the battery and gives minimal perks. The S3s bad ass processors and overabundance of ram should be more than adequate for damn near anyone!! No over clocking should be necessary as long as its functioning properly. Sounds lime you've got a bad install if your battery isn't lasting long. I'd reinstall the lg8 version of the blazer ROM I posted last week and see where that gets ya. Make a nand first of courses

Has anyone had issues with apps not working on the blazer ROM? I flashed it on yesterday and now my NFL fantasy football app doesn't work. It won't let me click any links. What's also weird is the website is giving me issues as well. I can't click any links, its like I can't communicate with their server or something. Other websites have no problems, and I haven't had any problems with any other apps yet either.

I just tried it and had no issue... you might wanna reinstall with a fresh download and a factory reset.

I might do that if I can't figure it out. It takes forever to get everything back to the way I like it. When I flashed the ROM I did it just like the video on the bottom of the page (qb king's video) which iirc had a factory reset in there too.

Tried a fresh download of blazer rom from a different server. Reflashed with a factory reset, cache and dalvik cache wipe, and it is still doing the same thing. I flashed CM10 to try it out, and I can't hang with it. NFL app works, but my performance definitely went down. That and I like the TW stuff.

Try out FreeGS3 - it's a great ROM made by a great developer.

Running newest blazer rom (jellybean) and I love it, but the fantasy football app still doesn't work, lol.

That's a developer problem. Some apps in the Google Play store do not work with Jelly Bean. You will have to wait on the developer to update the app and allow it to be compatible with Jelly Bean.

Emailing the developer alerts and usually speeds up the progress on updating (if the developer pays attention, lol).

Ok so I tried to install this rom just now and from recovery took less than a minute...seems too fast to me...then I reboot the system and I cam hear the boot animation sound but screen stays black and doesnt change...

I downloaded the rom from this link:
http://xdafileserver.nl/index.php?dir=Samsung%2FGalaxy+S+III%2FCUSTOM+ROMS%2FBlazer

And just to cover it I did do full system wipe/factory reset, and wiped both kalvic and casch what went wrong?

If you wiped correctly then my second guess is it was a bad download. Try installing it again after a full wipe and if you get the same thing then it's a bad download or bad transfer over to the phone.
