Root remove and replace root manager

I am currently using Superuser elite but want to replace it with SuperSU Pro. I downloaded the new program, updated the Binary so that the new program would be utilized but when I tried to delete the superuser program it does not give me the option. I deleted it in Tibackup but the icon still shows and if I click on the icon, the program pops up and even prompts me to update the Binary to put it back into use. Is there any way to change over or am I making a dumb move to switch over? I do not have a rhyme or reason why I am, just messing around with my phone.

no reason besides seeing the program I am wanting to switch to gets better reviews than the one I am currently using. I know that is a poor excuse, but I figured I would try out the other version and see if it benefits me in any other way. I can use the other program but I want to be able to delete the original until I decide to go back to it or not.

First, congratulations on trying SuperSU. It's simply the best.

As for your problem:

What you need to do (or at least what was successful for me) is to install SuperSU, activate it, let it update to it's own binary, etc. Then you should be able to go into the shell via adb or Terminal Emulator and delete Superuser.apk from /system/apps.

The way I do it nowadays is with the flashable zip, but that only works for the included free version.
