Sorry, I was replying to the post:

Ok, did all that.
When trying to apply the update, however, I get the following:

--Install /sdcard ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Installing update...
Verifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/bin/mount_ext3.sh","1810bb2cd607[...]","3a838[...]")
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

And I'm returned to the system recovery utility.

Tried running again and this time similar results except the line:

assert failed: mount("ext3", "MTD", "system", "/system")

I am a Forum Noob. ;-)

Looks like a trip through an FXZ would do those phones some good.

is that a complete full ics fxz for bionic?

just downloaded it, and had checked it
the grfs.img became vendor.img

Got It! I did the FXZ to the 5.9.905 and that worked perfectly. I am fresh installing all of my apps now but that's OK as I probably needed to clean house anyway? ;-) Thank you for all of your help and suggestions on this site.

Looks like you had forever root on your phone. That's why it would not install.

Why FXZ to 905? No one should be doing that anymore. 246 is the new king.

Use RSD Lite and the .246 FXZ for bone stock ICS

As long as you use the .246 FXZ, not .905

Probably a silly question but what happens if you try to fxz back to either 902 or 905....does it fail or does it brick your phone......also I think some one said something about tricking your phone into thinking it was on 905......is that possible yet????? I would love to try 246......currently on 232. But I don't want to loose the ota option........also is anyone else on 232 noticed a huge battery drain......mine goes dead in just a couple hours. It also gets very hot...it almost uses battery as fast as you charge it...... any thoughts would be great......considering a data wipe......it seems to help by putting it in airplane mode.....it says its android os using it.....
