Questions you would like answered.

I know there's been a lot of talk about 16GB/32GB/64GB versions, but to me the only reason for more internal memory is if it is all accessible for apps storage. Can someone with a Note 2 check how much is available? On my Bionic, I have 16GB of internal storage, but only a small amount (<4GB) is available for apps. If the apps storage is the same for all models, then it's not a big deal to get one with "only" 16GB of internal storage, because of the microSD card.

There is about 9 gbs of space left after all of the system stuff. All of it is available for apps.

hi everyone new user here, have a noob question if anyone could help me on...

while messaging or whatsapp (messaging apps), i noticed theres a small blue circle on the leftside of screen. upon expanding, its a shortcut to browsers/email/facebook/gallery, and a edit button on the bottom. is there anyway to totally remove the shortcut thing? theres no such shortcut on my SGS3...:(

Am I the only Sprint user that wants to scream "Stop Rubbing It In!!!!!" LOL

I'm so jealous of the users who have have multi view.

Heres an image of the storage use on my 16 GB GN2, if thats what you are looking for.

While reading the forums over at Sprint website, I noticed that the Sprint version does not have the pins for the wireless charging.

No Sim card access, no multiview (yet), no wireless charging

aarrgghhhh anything else Sprint?

TS

I can see why international travelers would want that sim card access but ME, if I'm leaving the country, it would be because I'm on vacation so I don't want to be contacted and will call you when I return.....but that's just me. :D

For me, I prefer having the option, especially for going to the Philippines where I have a ton of relatives that could more easily get in touch with me and I can use a prepaid sim.

It's part of the reason I'm keeping the photon. Although, I am tempted getting a Note 10.1 rather than wait for the ativ windows tablet.

So, it looks like all the internal storage is available for apps. That's a good sign. I still wonder if 32GB is really necessary, because 9GB of apps is a LOT of apps.

I personally could never justify having a 32GB model. I transferred 6000 photos from my PC to my phone and it has barely dented the capacity. I suppose somebody with loads of music, videos and games might think it was worthwhile

Coming from a non-smart phone I did not know what I was getting myself into. I thought I NEEDED 32gb on a GN2 to have enough room to enjoy its capabilities.

In 24 hours I already see that I was wrong because after downloading over 40 apps ranging from 5.5mb to 1.37GB each, my grand total is 4.47GB downloaded and I still have around 6.7GB free. That is plenty of space for me.

I know that I am probably not going to play all the games I bought. I'm not a gamer so I will eventually delete them from the phone if I do not use them over the next month or so. I was overwhelmed with the app store's selection being that I have never had a touch phone/tablet before.

I am happy with my 16gb Galaxy Note 2, 52gb dropbox and two 64gb SDXC Series 10 UHS-I micro cards. I have almost two hundred gigs of space....more than the laptop I'm typing on right now and that took me six years to fill.

Good luck all. :)

Well I need to satisfy my twitter habit and calling would be nice.

16gb was never an issue for me, I got the 32gb Ipad 2 and only used around 5 gb on that, only around 2 gb on my S2, so with my new Note 2 and a 16gb class 10 memory card, I will be happy ;)
I am like Tim the Tool Man Taylor, I want more Power ugh ugh In this case More memory, lol

I know thats why i said it. as a positive note lol
Don't get me wrong. At this point in my life not having a SIM card is not going to kill me since I travel overseas less than I used to. But my issue is if you say its a world phone then damn it make the sim card accessible. Multiview i can wait till the update, wireless charging to me I really don't need since I am always charging my devices at each chance I get and its easier carrying around a extra mini charger than a wireless charging pad.

Now, I'd really like to see the different carrier versions of the Note 2 with the battery cover off.

Anybody have pics of what the pin is supposed to look like that allows wireless charging?
here you go. See the extra gold pins on the side. Also there is that strange round looking thingy. I wonder what that is.

This youtube video showing the Note 2 being broken down also shows the pins.

Incidentally I have just ran through Application Manager and it says I am using a total of 2 GB for Apps, which consists of the pre installed apps plus 27 I have downloaded. Theres still 8.25GB free.
