Anyone else having issues with the Maxx HD GPS? It doesn't have a problem finding my location, but with navigation and vz navigator it won't stay connected. It'll pull up the route, then loses GPS signal and have to restart the app to get GPS again.. just curious if this is specific to my phone or if other are having the same problem...

I've had the phone for over a week now and use the GPS at least twice a day. It worked perfectly until the last day or so. It started jumping from one spot to the next and not smoothly following my path. Then today, it lost signal a few times. I restarted and it's working perfectly again.

So, there probably is something that needs to be fixed in a future release. Hopefully it's fixed with Jelly Bean!

I've been having a similar issue for the past couple weeks. The phone would work fine one day and the next morning be unable to find any satellites. The only remedy is to reboot the phone. I've also tried a factory reset, and that worked until I rebooted the phone for another reason.

I'm not sure there's much the VZW rep could say to get me to keep this device. I use the GPS too much to have to reboot the phone every time I want to use it. Not to mention that people should have to spend so much time debugging their phone when it's brand new.

The GPS is working fine on my Maxx HD but I do have a question.

Years ago when I used to use VZ Navigator, there were settings that allowed you to change the voice and the speed of the voice. When I got my X and started using Google Nav, (which I like better than VZ Nav, and doesn't cost extra) I liked the GPS voice and voice speed. But now with my Maxx HD the voice seems very fast. I would guess this is a function of ICS but does anyone know if there is an option in Google Nav settings where you can change the voice or at lease the speed of the voice?

This is not a huge problem but I was just wondering if anyone knows?

Really like my Maxx HD and that's saying something because I really liked my Droid X. My X was my best smartphone ever, but it appears that my Maxx HD will take over that spot soon.
