This is just an uneducated piece of personal philosophy. I would like opinions from people on this.
Of hundreds of thousands of movies made, why won't the powers that be just release them to hulu, crackle or Netflix?
For instance, a lot of decent movies that were never a blockbuster made in the 70's, 80's and maybe the 90's are mostly forgotten about as new generations are born and the past generation's memory fades. Are they still making money from these films? Why horde em in some copyright vault?
Movies and music alike are an art all in themselves. We have internet radio that plays music of all genres from the very distant past to some of the present.
Why can't this be done with movies? I know there is some, but only a fraction of what's out there and long forgotten.
Here's a favorite of mine, see if you can remember. "Electric dreams".
How many millions of people forgot or never even heard of this 80's movie?
See what I'm saying?
It's too bad these entertainment companies care more about the dollar than the hidden artwork....
What do you think?
What's your opinion?
