Access to the software update services is provided to users in the order in which they request it

Hi all - Update.

Managed to update to Jelly Bean this morning after almost a week of trying. I recieved no update notification, I just give it another try after umpteen unsuccessful attempts and it started to download. A little slow, but went without a hitch.

Gonna uninstall Kies - waste of space (don't take my word as gospel, for some Kies does as it should, I am just not one of those fortunate ones).

So back to being a happy bunny - though if Samsung rang me up for a customer survey the expletive "Hope your next sh*t is a pineapple" would be right up there.

guys please reply with confirmation, does it reset the s3 to factory reset and delete all stuff from the mobile or it just update the software to the 'JB' ?!
and another thing .. does this new JB support the 'screen split' multi-tasking option ?!

I can confirm it does not reset to factory settings, my phone is exactly as it was when using ICS but now it has the JB goodies.

TBH i haven't noticed any difference in speed and smoothness but it was definitely worth the wait for Google now, it is brilliant.

As for screen split i don't think i have ever used it, if you explain how to i will gladly check for you. ;)

I get the same message, sometimes wonder if the new JB update will be a good or bad thing, might just be better not updating.

On that point, say I was to check again and be successful, is there an option to just cancel, or once you click on check for software updates and there is one then you just have to let it update?
