Release Time & Backup Question.

So....my Nexus One died exactly 17 days ago. Perfect timing imo. Enough time to do some research and figure out what I want to replace it with but not TOO much time to where I feel like I've been waiting on this thing forever. Goodbye trackball, parting is such sweet sorrow.

I so miss the trackball. There's plenty of times when i want to edit some text but can't get the cursor to the right spot, that never happened with the trackball.

It's interesting to see the "predators" on eBay, both AU and US, selling the Nexus 4 for far more than they're going to pay for it.

Yeh I'd never go down that route again - got burned badly with a G1 back in the day. Took 6 months and a police investigation to get my money back - the phone was reported stolen a month and a half after I bought it (a classic phone insurance scam) and blocked by all networks.

Got an extension for Google Chrome called Page Monitor. Set it to check the Nexus 4 order page every 30 seconds for any changes and to make a loud noise when the page updates. I love technology.

So at exactly 11:00 pacific my Page Monitor sounded off that the page had changed. I freaked out of course and immediately hit refresh but.....still the same. :(

Yeah it gave me a false alarm around that time too. I think they did update page, but not to add a purchase button. Probably edited a line of text or added some minor note into the html. Either way it got my hopes up.

Do we think it's going to be 8 in UK then?

I called Google (1-855-83-NEXUS - hit 2) and a representative told me they haven't announced a time, but that I should check at 12 AM PST because that's the earliest it could be available. Call for yourselves and see if you get the same answer.

12 AM PST is 8 AM in the UK if i'm not mistaken.
