Hi. I have a Galaxy Ace 2. GT 18160. It works fine. The problem is that it eats up all the prepaid credit very quickly. Even when I am not using the phone it costs about $10 a day. I have closed all the applications I can find. Email was synchronised but I stopped that. I have turned the phone off and on again. It still eats up all the credit. Battery goes flat in one day, with almost no use of the device, maybe this is related. Thank you. Mark.

Hi Clutton. That seems to have helped, thank you very much. So what is the data network for anyway?

Again, thank you.
Mark.

Data network is how you access the internet when you are not connected to a wireless signal....so if you have wireless at home, once youl eave the house and our out of range the data network will take over....you would think that wouldn't be a problem but alot of apps update automatically so unless you have data network turned off you are likely to incur charges as I have also found in the past!

Its best just to have it off (also wifi off -saves battery) and just turn them on when you need them, sure its a little bit of a pain but its only one button, and if your not on an unlimited data package it will certainly save you alot of money!
