Help Volume goes silent by itself

Im actually having this same issue on my maxx. It started happening about a month ago, the ringer will not make any noise on the stock alarm and when I get an incoming call. I have factory reset the phone and not installed anything and it still does it so I know its not a certain app causing it. Whats strange is that I can factory reset and the ringer will work just fine. After I let the phone sit for a few hours I can see the alarm go off but it just doesnt make any noise. Its weird. I might send my phone out for repair.
