Release Time & Backup Question.

Well after much whining and weeping and gnashing of teeth it appears I've finally completed an order for a 16GB N4. I got the confirmation email and it shows as pending in Wallet. I had to set up the Check 4 Changes extension in Firefox, I wish I'd done that this morning. It made things a lot easier. Hopefully they ship quickly.

This was just before 2:30 EST. Good luck to the rest of you, keep trying and let your browser do the heavy lifting if you can.

How come the US didn't sell out like every other country then?

Not sure. I finally got my order through after 5 minutes of continuously hitting f5. It kept saying Coming Soon, but finally I got the screen to say Add to Cart. 16GB version is ordered and estimated delivery date is 11/15. I got my order through about 10 minutes ago.

If you can't order it, just mash f5.

Since I got home at 6pm the tab has been on auto reload every 2 minutes with an alarm set if "Coming soon" disappears. I'm on this.

Unfortunately nothing yet

For those still trying to order, try the play store agin and hit F5 a few times. After a few refreshes the "Add to Cart" option reappeared. I was able to add the 16gb to my cart, but I didn't try to push the order through since mines went through earlier. May be worth a shot

I can confirm this. It was just available one of the times. I completed my order in literally seconds.

fwiw it looks like the same deal with the bumper. I hit f5 like 10 times in a row and finally the "Add To Cart" option showed up. My work won't let me update my browser though so it got hung up during the check out process.

On a side note, I told my Galaxy Note 2 to open the link for the Bumper page using Google Play but it throws me in to the market for Apps and Music and crap. Anyone know how I can tell it to open that link using a web browser instead?

I don't understand why they don't allow pre-orders...it will prevent their servers from getting battered and keep their customers happy.

To avoid the N7 fiasco of people pre-ordering and just not getting them when Google said they would because they didn't have them yet.

Did it fix the original problem? Yes
Was it any better? Probably not
