Battery compared to Inc2?

Just got a used Rezound in great condition. The seller gave me 3 batters and 2 chargers with it... which makes me wonder about the battery life.

This is my first 4G phone and I'm coming from a 3G Incredible 2. From the people that owned the Inc2, hows the Rezound's batter compare to the Inc2?

Compared to my Inc2, the Rezound chows threw battery pretty good, maybe close to twice as fast... The Inc2 had (has) significantly better than average battery life with good signal, I could expect to get close to 5 hours of screen on time with excellent 3G signal, now in my Rezound if I can get 3 hours I am really lucky. This is why a lot of people get the extended battery for the Rezound, personally I think it makes the phone too bulky and I carry a pair of extra batteries and an external charger too. On an average weekend day I usually have to swap batteries at least once, on a weekday my phone barely gets used at all and is typically at 50% battery with by the end of the day.

I guess that is the price you pay for the display and 4G.

My wife has the Inc2 and I have the Rezound... My phone is typically at 50% at the end of the day, she charges her phone almost every day to get it through the day.
And the screen time difference though? I am hard pressed to believe that with identical use you are at 50% and she can barely make it through the day.

The Inc2 was known as a being above average for battery life, the Rezound is clearly not good in battery performance because of the display and being designed with an undersized battery (standard battery should have been about 2400mAh).

I use my Rezound a lot more than she uses her Inc2... I think it has to do with the better signal my phone receives than hers. That and the fact that dual core seems to help with battery a lot also.

Hmmm... maybe, but if it was me I would investigate this more, the Inc2 should surpass the Rezound in battery life quite significantly. My son has one and when we were on a road trip a couple weeks ago we were playing games at the same time, I had to change batteries after about 2.5 hours, he still had over 50% remaining.

Anyway, I guess the OP can take what he wishes from this discussion, just with a grain of salt. I love my Rezound and wouldn't go back to a Inc2, and I would be hard pressed to move to ANY other device at this time other than the Rez, it is one of the best IMHO.

I appreciate all the posts. After having the phone for about a week, I believe that the Inc2 did last twice ask long as the Resound, now I haven't rooted yet but plan to and have always seen increased battery life after root and Rom. I will post ny findings after that.

Yeah rooting and deflating will help but honestly its the high pixels-per-inch display the Rezound has that drains the most.

Disable gps and bluetooth when not needed, turn down screen brightness as low as you can stand it, and use wifi instead of mobile data when you can.

You may also want to get an extended battery or a juice pack charger. I am using the 1900 mah slim battery from mugen power. About 15-20 hours standby, a little less than four hours screen time.
