Evo 3D or Galaxy S2? should I make the switch?

Dream on. Just because you jacked your phone using tutorials etc doesnt mean youve added value. I got mine new from Radio Shack for $199.

Id be surprised if anyone give you much more than $170.

Different screen size, cpu, gpu, screen resolution and camera..... Not the same phone hardware wise. And I'm guessing that the s2 will get jelly bean at some point.

The rest of the world uses GSM, they could still tell CDMA users to get lost. Wouldn't be the first time a company did it.

The CDMA Development Group states that as of May 2012 there are 329 CDMA operators in 121 countries. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_CDMA2000_networks

My point was at least for now their is hope. I see not one reason why any phone with a dual core CPU and 1GB of ram can not get android 4.2.

Surprising..
However, if you combine most of those together and you won't even equal the size of US Cellular (not to mention many are data only providers or new startups).

A manufacturer isn't going to bend over for them.

But you're probably right, I'm sure this will end eventually.

Stick with Evo V until something better (as previously adviced) comes out, which won't take long.

I would not change my Evo V, for a slightly better performance phone and higher pricing (mainly now that everything works like a dream).

Other than the SGS2, there most likely will not be another high end Wimax phone. There simply never was many of them, and most are now out of production.
