4.2 wifi/bluetooth issue

I did read another thread with similar issues. I decided to upload a video of the issue I was facing so people can get a first hand look at it.
I contacted google tech support and the guy stated that noone had reported it yet. Its very frustrating as I use wifi to do work from, and this renders my tablet useless. It is reassuring to know that I am not the only one with this problem. I hope this issue is resolved soon.

Is it Wifi or BlueTooth the issue?

Cause I can get Wifi on my network no problems since the 4.2 update.

But I also use the FoxFi/PDANet hotspot apps to get mobile Wifi on the go via BT - but haven't had a chance to use it since the change yet.

Mine is a wifi issue. I read that some people were getting a similar bluetooth one as well, but I never use bluetooth on my Nexus 7 so I wouldnt know.

I had this problem once and updating my router's firmware and resetting the router fixed it.

On mine WiFi disconnects only after the Nexus is asleep for a significant amount of time. When the screen is on connection is fine.

There are users also reporting issues with bluetooth since the update. There's a post on their official "bug" forum which may be related and if you can, please let them know you finding and star the post so they can take notice and work in this obvious defect.

Try Settings > Wifi > Menu - Advanced > Keep wifi on during sleep - Always

This issue is making my Nexus a POS. There really is no fix that has helped me and I have two. Music is choppy and vids are impossible to watch when using a bluetooth speaker and streaming wifi. As soon as the screen goes to sleep it gets worth. WiFi alive still doesnt help.

Solved: I had the same wi-fi problem after the upadate... intermittent connectivity... and most times when I turned the tablet on, the wi-fi needed to be manually turned on. Google suggested I shutdown/restart both the tablet and router. That failed. Their only other suggestion was a factory reset. Reluctantly, I took the plunge. Bingo... after factory reset, wi-fi is rock solid... and, for what it's worth, reconfiguring N7 was easier than expected, with all apps restored automatically. (but before doing this, be sure that you've selected backup and restore from Settings.)

The problem with BT and WiFi together is a sound issue not a connection issue.
I actually had that same WiFi connection issue happen today with my home router. I had to connect to my cell hotspot and then reconnect to my home later. It seemed to just fix itself .

This is exactly what I experience. Loss of WiFi after a long period of sleep. I'm forced to power off and power on to restore the connection. Definitely a new bug introduced in 4.2. I'll try the option to keep WiFi on during sleep.

I have had no such problems after the update mine has been on for 2 days now with wifi connected and sleeping for 7 hours through the night twice.

It's possibly related to running Juice Defender. I have disabled that and am testing. So far I have been able to get WiFi going again by toggling WiFi off and back on rather than shutting the whole device off and back on.
