What exactly about the play store isnt working? That has nothing to do with your APN settings if your data and everything else is working fine. That would be more with your google setup.

I've tried to DL multiple apps and it doesn"t work. I can DL via wi-fi but not straight talk?
IDK....Everything seems fine with my google accts.....

If you have tried to DL apps and that isnt working then it sounds like a data issue. Have you tried opening webpages or streaming something like pandora to see how the connection is?

Yuppers.
Streamed 8 min of Tune in Radio without a hitch, Uploaded a photo to FB, etc.

I can open the Play Store, search for an app, click it, click install, accept the terms, and then I get an error "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0])

IDK what that means, never seen it. I have 4 bars of H on AT&T

You know what? I just tested this with my Gnex on ST and got the same error you did. I actually got this error while on wifi as well.

Hmm, its gotta be a play store issue and not a ST issue if its happening on wifi.

Yawn....Yes you can and I have to in order to get MMS working. One APN just doesnt happen for me. The first one with the "blue circle" is for voice and data. The second one without a blue circle is for the MMS settings.

One APN on Straight Talk works on my Nexus 4 also. MMS and all.Always has for all my Android devices.

Maybe you have a typo somewhere in yours. I did that once I typed in Mnvo instead of mvno or whatever lol.

I am going to try taking out the proxy and see if it is faster.

These are the correct APN settings for Straight Talk AT&T.

How to set up the right APN on your Nexus 4 | Android Central

Leave the proxy field blank. It will only slow you down and assists Straight Talk in data capping. You cannot use two APN's at the same time as the original post stated.

I left out the proxy field as you suggested. My data is MUCH faster! Thanks! Does this really help "hide" you from ST?

Hope they don't see this thread lol. I don't use a ton of data anyway but your way is way faster and it's nice to have the freedom to go over 2GB if I need to.

*note I have the AT&T sim for Straight Talk (which I free hand cut down to a micro sim for my Nexus) Yay! I am so proud. First time I tried that

I'm sure they can still see you, but it won't be as easy compared to when you go through their proxy server. I can't think of any other purpose it would serve. maybe someone more familiar with straight talk can give an informed answer.
