It generally known that Sam's Club is selling them for $0.97 on Friday. I called AT&T just now and they matched it. Woohoo! Now I don't have to get up early Friday!

This is a stopgap phone for me as I await the Nexus 4 debacle to sort itself out. I plan to sell it once Google gets the 4's back in stock or I might wait a few months and see if they pull the Nexus 7 trick of offering a revised one with increased storage later.

Anyway, just wanted to let you folks with available upgrades know if you're in the market for an S3 and didn't want to roll the dice on availability Friday you can get it straight from AT&T.

I would have felt the same way if, for example, I had walked into a store and bought one today.

Oh, and I WAS just in a store today playing with their display model and DID see someone buying one...

...for $200.

T-Mobile just had them for free last weekend. I picked one up for my daughter for her birthday present.

Called T Mobile and the lady would not confirm. She kept trying to steer me to a Blaze or S2 because that is what they're selling online right now. She said, "Do you know it's like to go to one of those black friday sales? You wait in line at 4 in the morning and they only have, um, like 5 units in the store." So i am left unsure if it's going to be at T Mobile or not. I guess I'll wait in line tomorrow...

a friend of mine went to the store and they said they would price match on friday, but not before. will be a much smaller line than most places i bet though

That's what I did last weekend. Picked one up for free when I got backordered on my Nexus 4. Now I think I'm just gonna resell my Nexus when it shows up....

Not me. I bought 2 N4's last week at T-Mobile (me and my wife had been saving upgrades waiting for this phone) and a GSIII for our daughter. Using the 2 side by side is no comparison. I wouldn't give up my N4 for one!!

I understand that. Before T-Mobile announced that they were going to be carrying the N4 my intention was to buy a different phone on sale and sell it. Tmobile carrying the phone just made it more convenient

my friend had a store price match it, went in a few days ago and asked, they told him they would price match today.

Yes. Sam's Club had them for 96 cents for Verizon and Sprint
