Dear Sir,

Need help.. I am a new user.. tried upgrade my firmware from 2.2.5 to 2.2 0909.zip using 20110907SPI.zip

I wrongly flash the update_spi_512 into my 512F hardware....

Now, it seems like brick...is there other option to reset it to base boot?

Please advise..I am stuck.. now..no display.with only red+blue light ON..

Million thanks

Have you tried to reflash to 512F?

Get your update_spi_512F.zip.

Do not unzip

Hello folks.

Could anyone tell me what is the maximum size of USB HDD that an atv 510b (512MB) can handle?
I currently have two 2TB drives attached, works quite well, both are formatted to NTFS.
Have just bought a 4TB drive, would I need to partition it? (it is also formatted to NTFS,apparently).
The media player is running ICS.

Many thanks again.

Thanks for the suggestion.. but currently my screen NO DISPLAY..how to reflash when no display? Any advise?

When you unplug the power, hold in the reset button on the bottom of the unit and then plug in the power while still holding in the reset button underneath the unit and release the reset button when the LED's light, does it boot into Recovery?

If this does not work, try to connect your box to your TV using the three video component outputs, some times these units default to component output and sometimes to HDMI outputs. If you have the wrong connection, then there will be no picture. You don't need audio at this time.

I tried a 3TB drive with gingerbread and it won't work until I partition it.
Never tried ICS since I have no need for it.

HTH.

today i decided to sell my atv 1000,now im looking for a new device,
i was very disapointed with my ATV because i wanted to use it for live TV with sopcast, veetle ,the audio not synced corectly,i have been trying all the roms with no succes.
im thinking to buy this one http://www.g.e.e.k.b.u.y.i.n.g.com/...-TF-Slot-XBMC-3G-Dongle-RJ45-Slot-312604.html
have the rk3066 chip i know is problematic with the open source but know is not anymore Ubuntu Linux for the UG802 - SlateDroid.com

I have just received a Imito MX1 Android dual core dongle using the RK3066 chip.

I have updated the firmware, have it rooted and it runs Veetle with negligible lip sync problems (some streams have an inherent lip sync problem) It can only connect wirelessly but ethernet to USB adaptors are available. I have cannabalised my GTV220 removed the remote receiver dongle and plugged it into the TV dongle. The air remote that comes with the ATV 1000 clones is surperb, much better than the Measy remote the MX1 mob are promoting. Even a wireless mouse is better.

XBMC runs very well on it as well and modding it is easy.

"I have to say wifi is a huge problem with the mx1. It just doesn't want to stay connected. I've tried moving the device and that just doesn't help. I'm not sure wether its a hardware or firmware issue but its got to the point where it's not usable over wifi."
