Help Can't see all my contacts

Hi

I have got the new Galaxy S3 (having replaced my old Galaxy) and if to be honest aside from the screen size I have found the swype function to be less accurate and phone calls to be of lesser quality.

However, my issue for the forum is seeing my Contacts. They are there in -Contacts just fine but when I try to access them in different ways only a few show up.

For instance, if I go to Gallery and pick a photo to 'set as' only a handful of my contacts come up. I have found a different way to set photos so that is not the issue, but I don't understand why all of my contacts aren't coming up as they are meant to. This also happened with something else I wanted to do but I don't recall what.

Can anyone help? :thinking:

Are all the contacts Google contacts or a mixture of different types?

My question as well.

I have Facebook sync, Google, Samsung etc. And some of them I had to save to "my contacts" to be able to fully use. Instead of just seeing them because I sync.

I too have this problem. All of my contacts are in Google. If I search for someone - I can find them, but just scrolling through my contact list they don't all appear. Same thing when I try to message someone, I have to type many people in as I just can't scroll alphabetically to find some people.

Thanks. After choosing Contacts in Customized list, I see I have a choice under my google account for "All other Contacts", once that is checked, they ALL appear. Thanks again.

Hi.They show as google but then all my contacts do as I did the sync with google so when look at my contacts in the Contacts list it all shows the google symbol next to them as well.

I also don't have the problems the others have in that my contacts show just fine in Contacts. I can see them all. It is then just a few (about 8) that show when I try to find them from Gallery etc. Some of them are old ones and some are new people added since I have had the phone.

Maybe its an issue with the gallery. You could try clearing data on the gallery app via applications manager and let it rebuild.
